RAGE Presents Arachnophilia
I am putting together an Araneatrox Hunt.
Requirements for participants:
I am inviting everyone from EF to join in, provided you have a decent gun. (ML35 is preferred but a Camo Arms Urban Stalker is also fine, or a combination which includes a long range weapon and a very good short range gun. Eg - Marber Bravo/FF8kM with A105, and an Adj. V1/Mod Merc with Amp). If you're not sure if your equipment is up to scratch, send me a PM.
This is intended as a low budget outing (100 Ped of ammo each, and 4 decoys which will be given to our dedicated decoy droppers) - provided you have the equipment. No faps or armour required, however I am going to ask that only Noob Orange Jumpsuits be worn, as I am going to be using this towards my movie.
Edit: Sat 17 Sept - 8pm GMT(This is game time - I checked and ingame time is exactly 12hours behind me at GMT+12). Meet at Fort Troy TP. Only people who have contacted me prior to this will be allowed to join the teams.
I am intending on having at least 10 people for this, 18 would be better.
There will be 2 or 3 teams with a team leader of my choosing. The teams will be set up with Similar Names - Rage Arachnophilia 1/2/3. Money will be set to equal, and items will all go to the leader. ALL money acquired will be given to your team leader at the end of the hunt. The Money at the end will be pooled together, and split equally between all the people. It will be the team leader's responsibility to make sure they keep track of how much money their team gets - should be easy on equal ped loots.
The leaders will be trustworthy people with a good reputation in the community. The items that get looted will be sold and the money distributed equally amongst all the hunters. All teams will be hunting the same Spiders at the same time.
This will take place Near the TP to the West of Fort Troy, as there is lots of flat ground there, and if anyone does happen to die, its a short run from the rt.
Now I know its very difficult to put together something of this size, so what I will be doing is splitting it up into smaller groups, who will each have someone in charge. The idea is to take this many people with 100 ped of ammo each, and go kill a ton of spiders (and Atrox that get in the way). I imagine that if we can kill a ton of them, and being such uber animals, hopefully we'll get at least 1 uber item and 1 uber hof which should cover our ammo at least.
The math goes as follows. I have timed how long it takes a Spider to get to me after tagging with an ML35 at full range. 16 Seconds. I figure it would cost about 15 ped of ammo to kill a Spider. An ML35 can put 1 ped of ammo into the air in about 6 seconds. 1x18 = 18 ped in 6 seconds. In theory with 18 people, we should be able to kill them long before they get to us, even if some people are using Plasma and handguns.
We will talk about hunting formations etc. later on, but I imagine we'd have 1 person with the longest range gun possible standing out in front, with everyone else in a line behind him/her. The tagger would shoot, and run through a gap behind the others, to carry on shooting. The people in the line would be standing very close together - preferably with shoulders touching.
With so many people, we can expect a bit of lag, but I'm hoping that this negative will be overcome by having as many shooters as we will.
I know its really difficult to organize people, and so I'm going to say now, that if you're not willing to co-operate, and submit to a group leader, please don't bother responding.
This can only work if we all work together, and if there is a sense of order.
And I really want this to work, and judging by the feedback I've had from others, it would be really great if we could pull this off.
I want to prove that it is possible to organize big hunts, and I want to show off what we can do if we all work together really well.
Team leaders will be chosen according to their social reputation in the community - as people will have to trust them with their share of the uber items we loot, and the group leaders (not necessarily the Team leaders) will be chosen because of the respect they have in the community. Anyone who misbehaves will be dragged out in front of an Atrox Stalker, tied to stakes in the ground, and abandoned.
Due to the nature of the setup, I will be requiring references from other EF members on your behalf. There will be no exceptions to this, because while there will be people I know and trust, I'm sure there will be other people in the team that don't know you so well, and so I would need references for them to see. References will be posted in this thread for everyone to see please.
I will make a post with all the names of people who have applied in principle, and been accepted. Obviously things change, and some people may not be able to make it, but I'm going to try make a time when we all can get there. Some may have to come late at night, and I'd be willing to be one of those that has to wake up at 3am to join the hunt.
