Help: Armor upgrade

As stated in topic. I need help on choosing my next armor set. I now have a Bear T1-T2 set as my main armor set but I wan't one with more protection espessially for my team hunting (I team most of the time). I have been thinking about a few sets but I'm open to suggestions. I am lvl 30 evader, use Svempa T15 tier5+dante (58dps and up to 80dps if needed on mob) and adj fap for healing. I would love a set I don't have to change again in some months. I cycle 2k avg. each day so I think using L armor is out of the question.

The sets I've been thinking about is Angel, Tiger, Jaguar and Phantom. I can mention that I have borrowed a angel set a few times and on big scips I get 120ped armor decay on 400peds of ammo so it might be a bit above my head to use that one yet.. A rough price estimate/recent sales of the armor you suggest would also be lovely.

I know I can't get protection against all mobs but here is what I miss an armor set for now; Osse, scipulor, proteron, malcruentor, chomper and sumima.

Out of those 4 your have considered, I'd recommend phantom. It is easily the cheapest of all of those sets and is the most versatile. It is better than angel on chompers and sumima. It is about equal with jag/tiger on chompers but better on sumima. With a set of 5d/6b you can quite comfortably hunt cold/elec dmg mobs in it aswell. It offers more impact protection than jag, the same as tiger and less than angel, which as far as I know, is still the most common type of damage dealt by mobs ingame (on calypso). It's imp/cut/stab total is less than all three (phantom<jag<tiger<angel). If the decay bill on angel hunting scip scares you, then you will probably be better off with lower total protection of these 3 dmgs at your current evade level. Imp/cut/stab mobs will decay most non-specialist hunting armours a lot more than a single dmg type mob because you will be absorbing 2-3x as much dmg as would be possible on a single dmg type mob. You can still incorporate a set or so of easily available (L) armour to cover 1 or 2 of the mobs you also want to hunt. I use ghoul (pretty similar to phantom) but have a set of polaris(L), which I can easily find/loot, to hunt osse.

Hope this helps. Personally my only upgrade from ghoul would be to either martial SGA or PoE.

Another thing that puzzles me is the markup on those sets. Why is it still that high when L parts is close to TT?

Anyone else have more/other opinions on the topic?

Maybe you could also consider getting your HP a bit (assuming your sig is correct, it shows 141HP). I'm a bit surprised that you only have 141 HP while you are a level 30 Evader. This can be true if you only hunted with ranged weapons, and never mined or used melee weapons.

You could either do it naturally, which should go fairly fast if you've never mined or used melee yet. Or you can buy some skills ofc, I guess you can afford that if you own an UL svempa T15 and are considering investing in armor anyway.

For me its Tiger UL hands down, more better than Jag on every stat except cold. Tiger has more close protection & firearms protection & durability than Jag. Price is irrelevant but its one of the best eco mid lvl sets you can get before PoE. Also Tiger is cheaper than Angel and won't have the high decay bill to a lower minimal decay rate. It also looks awesome black with yellow stripes resembles and can almost look like shadow . Ideally you'd want more health & an evader pro of around lvl 40+ on big scips other than that ur gd to go.

Working on it But I started in November 2010 so I need more time... I have skilled up both laser/blp dmg to about same lvl and the same for rifle and pistoleer but not done any mining or used melee weapons yet.

I started a thread a while ago searching for UL SIB shortblades I could borrow for that purpose but no luck there :/ I guess I will have to see if a blade comes up for sale here at a decent price so I could sell it fast again when I'm done with it. I'm done with L I think. Mining is like dropping peds on the ground for me so I either do something wrong or my avatar is not a miner

I agree I fap cheap to with 57.5hp heals at 2.3pec so I try to armor as low as I can finnish mob off and fap after without in-combat-fapping but sometimes it's just not doable with only 141hp.

The MU isn't all irrelevant really. I don't want to put 6-7k more into markup if there is almost no difference. I think I saw a Jag set as low as +7.5k and the Tiger set that Aura lily sells now is marked with a 14.5k BO so it's high difference in MU with not that high difference in protection. Maybe I should add Jag to my list

I could be wrong, but the reason for more decay on Angel is comming from higher protection?

I know I'm hunting above my lvl on those I think lvl 30 is just enough to evade youngs cause even mature starts to hit me more often than youngs.

Exact same reasons that Uniqu3 gave, as well as the fact that phantom is the cheapest of them all, with jag being 7K, tiger being 14K, and phantom being between 3K and 4K, lol.
