Hello,

was figuring I was going to post this when I got the BP from 1 to 100QR, cause it´s always nice to see some numbers right? :)

This was done with the gauge set at Quantity, except for maybe a few clicks out of boredom;

Total TT IN: 8830.48 PED

Total TT OUT: 8022.82 PED - 90.8537 %

Product out: 4792.78 PED - 59.7393 %

Alicenies out: 411.30 PED - 5.1266 %

Residue out: 2817.32 PED - 35.1163 %

Total no. of clicks from 1 - 100QR: 25972 clicks

Avrg. no. of Basic Sheet Metal's per click: 4.7076

No. of Globals: 6 (60, 55, 86, 61, 64, 82(PEDs))

Havn´t tracked BP finds though, but it´s maybe 150-200, regret not having tracked that too...

Now I´m off to see if the numbers change after hitting 100QR!

Cheers,

Lelle

Edit: New stats added:

0.0 - 100.0 QR on a new BP:

Total TT In: 9320,76 PED

Total TT out: 8151,04 PED - 87,4504%

Product out = 5060,98 PED - 62,0900%

Alicenies out = 463,30 PED - 5,36839%

Residue out = 2627,93 PED - 32,2402%

Total no. of clicks = 27414

Avrg. no. of Basic Sheet Metal's per click: 4,7095

All my clicks together so far:

Total TT In: 23141,76 PED

Total TT out: 20657,55 PED - 89,2653 %

Product out = 12518,28 PED - 60,5991 %

Alicenies out = 1130,1 PED - 5,4706 %

Residue out = 7008,92 PED - 33,9291 %

Total no. of clicks = 68064

Avrg. no. of Basic Sheet Metal's per click: 4,6918

Wow very nice work, how long did it take you to "click" this blueprint that many times from zero quality rating?

Thank you :]

Hmm, well I think I started at April 2:nd, I had my first global then and I think I got that the first day, but it might have been April 1:st too. In pure manufacturing time it took nearly 29 hours to make all the clicks, at 4 sec per click.

I didn´t have much PEDs to my disposal, so it took quite a few days since I could only make a few hundred PEDs at a time then wait for them to sell before I could make any new ones. And according to my calculations I´m only 132 PED minus all in all after MU, so taking the 100QR BP and the skills into account I probably even earned a PED or two, hehe.

Cheers,

Lelle

don't forget the markup of materials used?

either way thanks for sharing the info and good luck.

Wow very nice... *off to go buy mats to click for the next 29 hours* :eyecrazy::lolup:

TT of BP's looted is on average 0.01%, unless you loot some vehicle L BP's.

On generic leather texture BP I got up to 4.57% in return just BP's.

Total TT IN: 8830.48 PED

Jeebus! Almost nine THOUSAND PED input to reach just 42.5% (or whatever it is) success rate? The cherry on the cake must be the 26k clicks!

Well gz on an achievement I guess. 6 globals from almost 9k PED (and we all know the multipliers are required to get above 50%-ish return), even at only 34 PEC/click, seems interesting. One global roughly every 500 PED, or one every 4k clicks.

Now if the MU on those BP's at 100QR would only be +800..+900 you could break even! :)

Anyway, congratulations.

Well I just wanted to know how many clicks to 100QR, and how returns change as the clicks go by. I´ve actually had similar returns ever since I started, but the no. of Sheet's, and Alicenies per click has gone up while Residue has gone down, which is really nice.

Now I´m eager to see if it keeps rising. Because even if it´s the exact same COS I´m figuring the % in Product/Alicenies/Residue change for the better.

And of course I wouldn´t say no to a higher HoF, but that would only mean I´d have worse returns for a while, while it stabilizes at 90-91% again.

Cheers,

Lelle

I am trying to do the same thing, but darn does that take forever. I am at almost 9K clicks now and the quality is at 75,7.

What I am wondering though, I am getting a bucketload of BP's for wires, pumps and processors, what do I do with those? Do they have any value what so ever besides the 0.01 ped? And what is the use of a high quality BP anyways?

(Yeah, I know, newb questions, but I am new at crafting)

Lelle, thanks a lot for the post!
How experienced are you at crafting tho? Just starting or have some good skills already?
This post just brightened my expectations and hopes for lvling crafting w/o loosing thousands of peds, but may be these calculations wont apply when you are new

Yep, those are newb questions but if you don't ask you won't get an answer, right? ;)

The bucketloads of looted bp's? You got 2 options really. The first is to put them in auction at 1 ped each (since you can't set a lower price). Auction fee, what is it, like 60 pec or something, will make the possible profit at approx 40 pec but most likely is that they doesn't get sold and then you have a loss of 60 pec.
So the next option is to toss them in the TT like most do. Sadly enough, but I've done that to thousands of the bp's you name.

There is a thread in this forum about QR and how it works. "Real Crafting COS"
In short you can say that a high QR gives the best possible chance to have a successful click.

The maths on bp's and QR isn't as fun as one would want. 100% QR means that you have 42.5% chance to have a successful craft - if you craft with settings on Quantity. (1 craft equals 1 click.)

Sometimes, people just drops them on the ground near craft machines, in the wilds, everywhere. Maybe someone will need them.

Also you can make a nice F-word with them, somewhere in big, open space.

Be creative.

What I usually do with my excess bp's is to put together a second set of bp books. This can then be loaned to socmates or friends who want to try crafting but arent sure if they want to commit. This way you also gain qr on the prints with little or no risk and no cost other than the books which you can always sell back to the tt for what you paid. I've currently got 3 sets of books and if I get a print that is already in all three I normally just leave it on the floor of the trade center for someone who can use it.

Good luck!

Also to the OP, it would be interesting to see the skill gains for this should you feel the need to do it again! :ahh: While you may just consider the ped value of your return, there must have been some pretty nice skill gains with that many clicks.... I would be very interested to see the value of the extracted skills after completing a run like this, might be worth it just to farm crafting skills....

Just an "old time" comparison :)

My appreciation (+rep) to Lelle for doing this (seems that I am not the only one recording such runs :yay: )

Below just a comparison to old, really old times.
<opening big PE/EU folder> :wise:

MF-101 1-97.1 QR run (apr.2004-jan.2005)

Nr attempts 5799
Nr. Bps 23
Nr. MF-101 2630
Nr. HoFs 0
Effective time 27 days

TT tools 4100,79
TT waste 981,48
avg. Tool tt 1,56
% waste tt 19%

TT in 5193,14
TT out 5082,27
TT + MU in 6522,72
TT + MU out 5082,27
Total tt -110,87
Total tt+mu -1440,45

TT in/TT out 98%
TT in/(TT+MU in) 126%
(TT+MU in)/(TT+MU out) 78%

<closing big PE/EU folder>
Unfortunately I did not record skill gains (was not so important back then )

Conclusions:
- now requires more clicks
- tt economics are worse now (over a 7 year period)
- loss/gain is highly deppendant of MU

Cheers and hope to see such analysis more often :)

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies :)

I didn´t track skills unfortunately but when I stopped I had got 460 metallurgy and some 800 or so Metal skills. If I hadn´t got eager in the end I could´ve kept on longer but instead I started getting rid of the sheets faster/cheaper instead just to be able to craft on... sigh :p

And thanks for some nice data Wally! I too remember way back then when I was an armor crafter that the returns were much different. I used to think "Bah, another boring 100% return run..."

Anyways, here are some new data:

Total TT In: 13789,38 PED

Total TT out: 12470,76 PED - 90,4374%

Product out = 7432,32 PED - 59,5980%

Alicenies out = 666 PED - 5,3405%

Residue out = 4371,02 PED - 35,0501%

Total no. of clicks = 40557

Avrg. no. of Basic Sheet Metal's per click: 4,6749

No. of Globals: 7 (60, 55, 86, 61, 64, 82, 85(PEDs)) <-- so only one more global the last 14,5k clicks

Cheers,

Lelle

so looks like your are getting same percentage in returns with a maxed BP. Isnt it supposed to be better...

Same questions from my side.

Are you going to do more clicks and record them Lelle?

I am currently doing same thing with some other bp but considering my low budget and not much playing time - stats will not be posted soon :)

Thanks for sharing Lelle! + rep

Heya,

Yep I´m back doing some clicks now. BP at 96.3 QR and a total of 64K clicks so far, so will have more data soon :]

Will be nice to see if required clicks will be the same.

Cheers,

Lelle

Alright, finally got it to 100.0 QR! Here are the new results:

0.0 - 100.0 QR on a new BP:

Total TT In: 9320,76 PED

Total TT out: 8151,04 PED - 87,4504%

Product out = 5060,98 PED - 62,0900%

Alicenies out = 463,30 PED - 5,36839%

Residue out = 2627,93 PED - 32,2402%

Total no. of clicks = 27414

Avrg. no. of Basic Sheet Metal's per click: 4,7095

All my clicks together so far:

Total TT In: 23141,76 PED

Total TT out: 20657,55 PED - 89,2653 %

Product out = 12518,28 PED - 60,5991 %

Alicenies out = 1130,1 PED - 5,4706 %

Residue out = 7008,92 PED - 33,9291 %

Total no. of clicks = 68064

Avrg. no. of Basic Sheet Metal's per click: 4,6918

Well there are quite a lot of differences between the first BP and the second BP. Since I got my first BP to 100QR the total return has only gone down, slow but steady! Also in the second BP I got only one single global of 59 PED(even though tracker counted it 4 times). There is a 3% difference between the first and the second BP, which I think is quite huge :[

Anyways, hope it´s nice to see some new numbers! :]

Cheers,

Lelle
