Question: Broken (L) and plates...

I thought I remember reading this somewhere, but can't seem to find it...

1) Can you equip and wear fully depleted, 3% TT, BROKEN (L) armor?

2) Can you hang plates on completely broken (L) armor and still receive the protection of the plates?

I found it...

Wearing just the broken shins and face guard with 6A plates on them I had a friend shoot me with the TT pistol. His dmg range was 1.8-3.6 and I took some 1.0 dmg and was able to put the formely fully repaired plates in the repair terminal for repairs. So I would say that the plates still work.
