Hello!
I am Charlie and this is my (mostly) fabulous mining log!
After a rather bad period of returns in 2009
, I reevaluated how I was playing this game and after much thought I decided to concentrate on one area, mining, and see how I may improve my game experience.
I had a realization for mining that I was trying to play the game way out of my league as far as ped card and skills go. I had taken more risk with amps, mainly oa 103 than my ped card could sustain in the long run, so in 2010 I decided to keep track of my mining in terms of tt finds vs. tt expenses, starting unamped with OF 105 and proceeding from there.
The Setup:
Each Run is 50 bombs & 50 Probes, Runs are grouped into sets of 10. I have already completed 14 sets, and have posted the results below, and will continue to update the “Current Stats” section as I complete each set.
Ore mining was done with OF-105 for the first 9 sets, then TIK 320 after that.
Bombs were unamped through set 11, or 5500 bombs to establish a base return rate before deciding to try amping. After some experiment in set 12 and 13, I decided to go with oa-101 for bombs.
Probes have been mostly amped with 101’s, starting with set 2. TIK 400 for the first two sets, EMine for sets 3-12, and currently using MF 213 until I reach level 25 so I can use MT 1000.
If there is interest, I can post the results of each of the 14 sets I have already completed. The numbers swing pretty wildly, but I am so far really surprised by the long term average results!
Hunting continues to be my ped drain, although I must say that my returns seem to be a little better now that I am not purposely hunting!
