Hello Calypso,

I have had many requests from players to sell more deeds, I have decided to sell on the Auction between 5000 and 7000 deeds, I will sell at a low price of 1200peds.
I am keeping a major portion of deeds myself but have another investment opportunity has arisen that I want to pursue so freeing up capital is now necessary.
My assistant will sell the deeds from his avatar "Maxim Overdrive Deeds" starting after the New Year.

My question is:

Is this against the rules as he will drive the price down selling that many?

I am not complaining/flaming/moaning merely asking.

Nope not against the rules, if he would them by himself with other avatar(to manipulate the price) then it would be against the rules :)

Now, can someone make public the sniping 3rd party software which will be used by some players to by these deeds the milisecond they appear in auction? We saw the disaster MA had with the CLDs put on at 1150Ped and how it was impossible to move you mouse quick enough to buy them.

Suggestion, why doesnt your assistant set times he will appear at Fort Itheca. An orderly line, and limit to 5 CLDs per avatar per session.

Why should he care who gets the deeds?

If you were selling would you go through all that hassle? As a seller does it matter to you who buys them?


Hopefully priced at 12k the resellers may not be using any such software? and let's face they may be saving their big peds for the big jan item sale? So it could work out for everyone? but we wait and see...

If MA manages to announce more info on the big Jan sale before or at the time of his sale, 1200 won't be such a bargain price anymore. He's now basically competing with MA for cash so there's good chance they'll want to cool it off a bit and get people excited about their sale instead. You've said it yourself in the other thread; ingame liquidity is pretty poor so why be so worried?

Is he raising money for the January sale?(maybe no but big coincidence either way). I get the feeling he`s not the only one doing that.
 
Wow so the secret CLD investor comes from Hong Kong? Can I get a little bit more discount for CLD because we living very close to each other? Tell me if you come to Taiwan I can buy you a dinner and some local snack :laugh:

You give me one good reason why someone making a risk investment of this magnitude would NOT bank those 100 ped per deed ... Hell even if he floods the market with those deeds it is (current state) unlikely that the deeds would drop under those 1200 ped he announced. And someone with that amount of cash would surely understand market dynamics a lot better then to throw away thousands of dollars.

I'm sorry, but I am not buying it at all, but good on MA to extract milk from the player cow even further.

Best of luck MA to sell the next batch at 1200, nicely done to pull the lot at 1k when sales stagnated only to reintroduce them a year later for 20% more (awesome move imo)

Actually it is kind of a very smart thing to do by telling people what why and when he was selling. It is a good gesture actually too. It would avoid mass uproar when it happens, and it givesd people looking for deeds or thinking about buying them fair warning of a likely market adjustment.

Ok instead of thinking that:

-maxim wants to buy more CLD and made this announcement to drop the current markup
-maxim is just an forum avatar created by some random person just to have a laugh

you think that he is MA, wouldn't be my first guess but to each his own.

Probably not... Ridiculus conspiracy theories with no proof seem to be quite popular :coffee:

because thats how you do large trades, same in markets. ~1300 is the market price for 1 at a time and wait a day for a buyer. 1200 gets volume, which you need if trying to shift 5000 in a sensible time frame. when Buffet buys 5% stock of SuperCorp, he doesnt go into the market and buy in lots of 100 here, 500 there at market price, he does a transaction with the company at under the market price ( large tranactions can occur over market price too, but usually in the case of takeovers)

Small example - when I hit azz ath in feb - 1/3 of it flew straight into TT, guess why? Yes, there was CLDs for 1k still. Mr Hammer appears a bit later after it.

I don't think it's MA because they`d be cannibalizing their own upcoming January sale by sucking 600k$-720k$ or more out the market. By the contrary, it's competing with MA's sale.

I get the feeling this sale might even exceed 5000-6000 shares since Maximus hasn't clearly decided on a fixed amount.

Return from the game is shifting to a 'Investor Owned Land Area Tax System' - allows it to be broken up and sold.

Like the Croupier/investor selling his 'game to the gamblers, rather than having to manage the casino.

It still doesn't answer the question. When was the last time MA did 2 major sales in a row, in 1 month`s time?

Keep in mind that 6000CLDs are worth 720k$ if sold at 120$/each. CND sold for 100k$ and Crystal Palace sold for 330k$ while Medusa sold for 30k$.
