"Entropia Universe is currently offline for maintenance"


If you receive this message when starting up the Entropia Universe, please check the news section to see whether the system is down for maintenance or upgrades.

Also make sure that the Entropia Universe is a non restricted application in your anti-virus software and firewalls (including the Norton firewall if you have Norton AntiVirus software).

These ports need to be opened in your firewalls if you wish to participate in the Entropia Universe:


20, 21 (TCP Outbound) - Additional TCP port outbound for passive mode FTP
30584 (UDP inbound/outbound)

If the above is correct you could try removing the Entropia Universe completely from your computer in the Control Panel / Add or remove programs. Then download the Entropia Universe Client again from the download section of this website and install everything from scratch.

Think you misread something. Downloading again should be done -only- when nothing else helps from the list.

So checkmaintenance = yes then download = no.

Well the update is finished, now to 8.6.1.
Bug fixes that occured at 8.6, unless thoe bugs fixes scured some old ones, not sure about bugs, they have never bothered me.
