Eu on Ubuntu

Hey Guys

i got a new laptop, it has ubuntu/vista dual boot, of cource vista probably isn't optimum perating system to use, een tho i got 3 gigs of ram. however.

can i run EU on my ubuntu? and does it run well?

I don't think it will work. EU uses Direct X (pretty much Windows exclusive). I heard of a few attempts to make Direct X work in wine and a few other windows compatibly packages but last I heard the effort was futile.

o ok, so there is no openGL version of eu.

nah there isnt. but EU runs fine on Vista. Vista runs fine too, not sure why everyone is still hating on it.

I need to get Wine deb package.
EU works under it just fine, better then under Vista (was test it 8 month ago).

Doer has had some success running EU using the wine emulator. Try the instructions he has given here:

I have the same setup, Vista / Ubuntu 8.10, but I have not had any luck yet on my laptop.
