But in order to do this more efficient we would like to invite you players to share your experiences to track these issues and remove them.

Thanks for taking serious care of that problem!

Now everybody don't be lazy and do What Joakim says.

Will do, finally taking care of this !

What should be the title of the email?

:yay::yay:

Can I send one with a larger number of pings so you get a better idea of the packet loss? How about a fully custom file like say 1000 pings to the second to last hop to one of your ip addresses (assuming the server is not pingable)?

Pew Failed Pew Failed Pew Failed Pew Failed Pew Target evaded attack Failed Failed Failed Failed Failed Pew Target Evaded attack Pew Failed Failed Failed Target Evaded Attack Pew Failed Failed Failed Failed... 5% hp left on mob... Lost connection to entropia universe.

... Trying to log in again Avatar is already logged in, please try again in one minute.... 1 min later tries again... Internal error, if this problem persists contact the support department. Exit entropia client, tries again... "Authorizing" 1 min.... "Connection lost"... time 01:00 AM.

This happens quite frequently, worst part is when it happens after you kill mob but don't have time enough to loot it. Then you log back in and bang lost the loot and yep no compensation from you guys since there's no logs of not looted creature of course. (It would help if creatures corpses that hasn't been looted would last longer, to prevent this from happening.

This is only the connection problem, don't get me started with CTD's problems.
On a good day I can get 2-3 CTD's. On a normal day 5+ at least. On a really bad day I can get 10+.

I'm not sure which is more annoying the connection problems or the CTD's. With connection problems you have a chance to survive and finish of that mob before getting disconnected, while CTDs you will get hit for 1 min at least until you can get back in, not to mention the mob will probably be at full health when you log back in if you're even alive. So more decay for you guys :ahh:

This probably answers your last question and I'm pretty sure other people's experiences are similar.

Good initiative!

Guess now I know why I'm called a low ping bastard ;)

click START and type cmd in the search area then hit enter to get the command prompt.

Not everyone knows what command prompt is :)

Send an email to support@entropiauniverse.com and attach the file: contest.txt located in your documents folder (c:\users\%username%\documents\)

What is first prize for the contest? :D

Are you aware that in some servers when looking in a certain direction the FPS fell abruptly? See the reports in this thread !!!

The original post should be pasted as one long command into a DOS window which is opened by pressing the Windows Key and "R" then typing cmd and pressing Enter.

It stakes a few minutes to output the result to a txt file called "Contest.txt"

If you wish to type each command separately I've listed them below:

Windows 7

Start command prompt and paste the following command:

date /T > c:\users\%username%\documents\contest.txt
time /T >> c:\users\%username%\contest.txt
ping -n 10 login.entropiauniverse.com >> c:\users\%username%\documents\contest.txt
tracert 94.31.61.11 >> c:\users\%username%\documents\contest.txt
tracert 178.237.32.78 >> c:\users\%username%\documents\contest.txt

Hows that?

The syntax is incorrect in the original post, it should be....

Windows 7

That's not true, I'm also on win7 and had no issues with Joakim's syntax

The syntax suggested for Windows 7 is valid for Windows Vista. Just sayin'. (I might well be the only one in the universe still using it )

I can not get this to work, it creates no file nor shows any info on the screen when I run the command. I also had to run the cmd prompt as an admin to get it to run at all.

Same here:
Running it in Windows 7, I don't get anything from the OP's syntax.
And the correction from Dirk results in just a time stamp in the contest.txt.
Which seems to be a bit stingy on the information providing side.

What am I missing? :scratch2:
I may need some help, to help you help us.

Lag exists at every 10 to 12 minute mark every hour.

Probably a database backup or maintenance plan job running causing undue stress on poorly indexed tables.

Just an update. Was just in the game and the lag is making it un-playable. caylspo time 19:05

Welcome to what lag is like for someone overseas like me!

Mostly I dont have lag problems however almost every hour, 10-12 minutes past the hour, I experience a lag spike that is anywhere from mild to dramatic. It seems that others do as well.

Anyone running McAfee or Symantec antivirus. I've experienced massive network lag while McAfee checks and updates itself.

Changing to %userprofile%\desktop instead of c:\users\%username%\documents will eliminate non default windows installs.

For the 5th time in the last 7 days, the lag has started right around 00:00 MA time, currently still laggy for me. The lag does not just come and go, it is constant, i lag out on every mob i shoot. Its almost like some servers or something goes offline at around this time daily and the game starts lagging. How can this be so difficult to figure out when it is constantly happening around the same time daily?!?!

Side note: This lag has started around 00:00 +/- about 2hrs almost 100% of the time for me.

seem lag issue it's universal not planetary specific
am I wrong?
Lot of times I'm unable to browse auctions on Caly - NI- RT
and chat looking pretty dead also.
