Fox News
I posted on Diana's blog and told her to take a look at Entropia. I didn't run down the others but told her this was a real VW. I also told her to contact MindArk for a tour because screen shots gives no idea how the game really is.
Well the Diffrence between EU and REAL Virtual Worlds are that in real virtual worlds you can create anything, the market isnt controlled by the cerator unlike in EU where MAs since of participant content is charging you hundreds of peds for something you usually cant sell for half of that.
If you look at the report on Fox you see that there a girl making clothes from scratch for FREE and selling them for around 75cents. Now compare that to the world of EU.
Sorry to burst you bubble, but as it goes for real virtual worlds, Entropia isnt one. It´s way more closer to the online casinos.
I disagree in a nice way, no offense given. I think EU is much more like RL than the others and hence I consider it more of a REAL VW. I don't think hardly anyone in RL gets raw materials in RL to make something. Moreover many people go broke buy not getting the price they are asking for their products. In EU if you happen to be able to create something that is in great demand you may get 3 times or even more of your cost of mfg. This again I feel is more like RL. There was a lot of thought given to details in this "Game" to mimic RL and I think they did a good job. It can be and usually is a costly game compared to other VWs but I feel the experence is worth the price. Just my opnion.
