This guy crafted like crazy. While he was online, he was the best thing that happened to the economy. He increased the level of activity in the profession and in mining and in trading.

When one pushes that much ped, that fast, he is exactly what the economy needs. He should be rewarded somehow. Because if he is not, we all lose. People like him are what keep the game economy alive.

When one influences the economy so much that he burns that many resources, the system should give him cool BP's, opals, markup stuff... whatever. And I do not say that it should give HIM. But people like him should be rewarded.

If he would have had his hof, he would be online now. He would click for the next one and probably consuming what he got. If he would have looted the next BP on the food chain, maybe he would have clicked it.

As it is now, is so boring... He does nothing and no one else does nothing...

As a side note.... the economy needs limited BP's. Needs opals. Needs ton of residue.
Why not hand it over to people that are that active and help everyone else by doing so?

I want Kunrad to keep clicking. I do not want him to quit the game. He must be helped.

agreed..............

This is how entropia works. Some people deposit and fuel the economy and got nothing in return. Just empty bank account. Then you have people like Adi who never deposited and is running around with UNL stuff and 220k skills.

Its just dynamic and i am saying fuck it, i somehow cannot login for past few months. I am full of it

I never said the rest of us should not get a hof or loot or whatever. But if people who are that active are cast away by the huge variance in loot, is hard to have a strong economy.
People like Kunrad can make and break mineral market. ONE man like him. That should tell you how small the market really is. If only one person, clicking one BP of level one can have more influence on mineral market than all traders and craters. I would not want to have such a person to leave the game.
Also, I would not want such a person to benefit by any special treatment. But is clear that we need people like that. The more, the better. So the system should encourage them somehow. And the common sense solution, is to have the hofs containing some markup every time if the turnover goes above some limits.
Note that I never said that he should profit. Or that he should get back what he lost. And by Kunrad, I was referring to all players that actually play the game, and have a positive contribution to game economy, whatever they do.

My point is that if he gets his global, we all get our global. Loot variance stops being so much like a casino. Because as it is now, if he keeps pushing, he will get a hof at some point. But after all that effort and disappointment he may not want to keep pushing. And we all want people to click BP's. Buy resources. Sell stuff. Create an ecosystem.

I am surprised that player tend to see themselves different than him. Not the same as him. We are all Kunrad at our own level.

when you explain things this way i agree with your thoughts , its not about giving anyone special treatment , its about making the loot variation less wide.

and yes , we should all think about what it really says about our economy , if one person can affect the eco system in such a significant way, does this mean we are a very small number of actual players?

cheers

Didn't he say he had 250 globals in the thread he started?

I'm as pessemistic as the next man but i'm failing to see how he's been wronged? He's been gambling high with a bp that is not profitable in the short or long run. Everyone knows this (about this bp). Yet people still click them in the hope of scoring that big 10k Plus loot that these bp's give from time to time.

Why should anyone be rewarded for that? Please enlighten me.

Somewhat exaggerated points here about saint kunrad, he is no more prolific or affects the economy in anymore of a way than a lot of other nameless crafters out there! and lets not forget he has had a 50k hof!

ps keep your damn fap

It will be hard, because I am kind of dark myself...
However, when one person has such a high turnover, it influences the small economy in a major way. The economy benefits from this a lot. So economy, in order to protect itself should create an environment where people with that kind of budget, mentality, lifestyle and whatever you want, are encouraged to stay in game longer. The game would do just fine if he will lose all those peds in a longer period of time, not just few hours.

The attitude "he was an idiot so he deserves to lose his money fast" is detrimental to all of us. First of all, that BP is a level 1 BP. A noob can assume is "safe" to click. He may not be that informed. I agree, a loss is expected. The question is: how much loss and how fast.

Having such a person clicking 24/7 would be an inspiration for many others. Instantly people would want to craft, because crafting is good. People would want to mine, because mining makes sense. People buy resources. People would want to hunt, because crafters buy oils and all other BS. I see tons of good things happening for ALL of us if he keeps clicking. Can you please name one good thing if he takes his noob loss, pack his bags and decides to make a career in sweating?

No crafter is nameless. All are named Kunrad.:wise:

And fap is for the highest bidder. :)

There was a time when he was in profit.

He chose to risk it Vs MA, and got burned, as we all do eventually.

Pretty sure he withdrew some of that too, so it's all good :)

Not to be too negative, but it's how the game works..or doesn't work.

So many have clawed their way up to be the top Hunter/ Crafter/ Miner, only to be dashed on the rocks.
..look at Skullsiege, Impk2 and gave up.

The 2nd top ATH Miner hit his 100k..er..Daytona? Played a bit longer then took it all out.

Who hit the 10k Oil recently? A long term player?

Joda, most skilled, quoted as saying "whatever I do, I lose". Now you can buy his skills on auction.

When did Skalman last hunt? or Neo?

The game doesn't reward players, just traders.

Seems to be sad but true in way to many cases...
