alright i finally decided to start my diary, and i am going to fill it with random and wierd support cases that i decide to write to MA, as well as any reply i get. so, to start it off, here is the first one:

I would like to report a cheater in PE. I have reason to believe that the Araneatrox Guardian that is NW of Fort Troy is using hacks and illegal methods to defeat its enemies.

there i was just minding my own business, whipping a Drone Generation 01, when an Araneatrox Guardian shows up out of nowhere and hits me for 288.8 damage... so therefore, i am thinking that it is using some hack to increase its damage immensly, and that it is using speedhacks to zoom up upon its prey. Also, i did not evade the hit, and i have some decent defense skills, so i should have evaded at least ONE hit... so it think its using an aimbot as well.

so i dunno what you guys can do about this, but i would just like to inform you all about the situation that is happening... :/

I would like to address an issue about PE that I do believe strongly should be addressed, and that is the fact that the bartenders on Calypso do not serve drinks.

I mean, if you spend hours upon hours hunting (with no consumable nourishment of any kind I might add), you kinda want some type of refreshment to unwind before you either head back out to hunt some more, or call it a night.

Also, the weather on Calypso is always sunny, so I am sure avatars may get dehydrated if they do not get any liquid into their system... but then again, we do not know the temperature or humidity level of Calypso, so avatars may just live off of breathing the atmosphere, which brings me to ask another question, and that is do avatars really need to breath? That will have to wait until next time, as its a whole other subject in itself.

In closing, i would just like to say that it would be nice if the bartenders would sell drinks or food, even if its just a glass of water and a cookie...

i just wanted to ask if you could change the Killing Spree ATH board to update my society name on my 58kill pk streak. i think it is #15 on the all time high list.

Fiend without a Face is my old society and Menace to Society is my new one. i saw that you updated Porn Star's, so i was just wondering if you could update mine :)

this is in response to the answer i recievd in Case 38216.

what do you mean by right click the society name? i tried it for like 5min and nothing happened... maybe there was a misunderstanding... #15 on the All Time High PK Streak is my 58 person kill streak. the society that is displayed is Fiend without a Face, but i left that society a while back and created Menace to Society, so i would like that to be displayed on the ATH board instead of Fiend without a Face...

also, if you could, change Jenna Porn Star Jameson's as well (says Freelancers of Calypso, should say Menace to Society).

Hi and thanks for reporting. You have to gather a number of votes from another players in the society for being leader of society. Without it you cannot kick or change a leader without being a leader yourself. MindAark cannot doing that for you. regards support

If you look closely, they even misspelled MindArk... plus other grammatical errors... "cannot doing that for you." ummm, okay.... :confused:


I mean, W T F... their reply has nothing to do with my question... this was an actual support case that i submitted a while back (long before the bogus ones), and finally got a reply the other day. Okay, maybe its because i was sending bogus cases, but the first one was opened and replied to long before i sent the first bogus one. "right click the name and rename your society"... ummm, i sat there for 5 min rightclicking it in the (ATH PK Streak) list like crazy and nothing happened. grrrr lol :rolleyes:
 
Hmm... I havent written in my diary for a while, so I suppose ill write something in it right now :cowboy:

I wrote this support case a while ago, but I am posting it because 1) Some of you I know have experienced this as well, and 2) They make a longass explaination for something that could take one word to say: Lag. :D

hey again :)

i have run into an issue when i am out skilling with my whip. i will be standing there, hitting a creature, then all of a sudden not deal damage to it for several clicks in a row. i have not moved and i am aiming at the same spot i was aiming at when i was dealing damage to it. i have to move around alot, or even run away from it for a bit in order to be able to hit it again, which only happens about 80% of the time... sometimes i cant hit it again no matter what i do...

i dont know if this is a bug or just lag (doubt it since there is nobody else on my screen and it happens quite often), but it is annoying as heck... :/

Are you sure the MOB hasn't moved a little bit? How do you do it, in first person mode? Aim mode or target mode? Is the MOB targeted(with a green box around it)? Please do submit all details you have as we cannot seem to make that happen here.

yes i am sure the mob hasnt moved because i havent moved and im just standing there tanking it.

i hit it in first person mode

aim mode (where you move the mouse to look around)

i havent targeted the mobs (the green box), just the blue one when you aim at it.

it mostly happens to cornundacaudas and Gradivores (dunno about others, exarosaur and combibo around PA are fine), and after i have been there a while. i relog when it starts happening, but that doesnt really fix it, just makes it go away for like 5min...

it might just be lag, but it happens alot so i dunno...

Sometimes issues occur that are related to the PE server systems, the client, the connection, Internet as a whole, the participant's ISP or home computer that affect performance. Our general suggestion when such incidents occur is to change location in the virtual universe to see if the issue still exists. If it does and you feel it is unacceptable we recommend you take a small break. If you have these problems often, we suggest you contact your ISP and have them check your connection for packet loss (a term used when dealing with Internet communication). Packet loss means that the data stream is disrupted and data must be re-sent from the server to the client, meaning it takes longer to register events ingame, causing "lag".
You can also try changing the internet connection speed in the clientloader options. For dialup users, a speed of 64 or 128 is recommended (technically it uses another packet size).
For broadband users, 256k is the recommended setting since it should never be set higher than the bandwidth actually available which seldom is the speed you pay your ISP for.
We continuously monitor our connections and available bandwidth. However, lag problems often are created outside our control and mostly happens because of ISP overbooking or backbone overload. One way to test would be to use the "tracert" tool in windows2000/xp (run from command prompt) and target rp.project-entropia.com. This will show the time between you and all gateways on the internet on the way to our servers. Running this command repeatedly will give you an idea about where the lag is (the hop with most time added).

Yay! LG Round 2 is finally over, and Menace to Society has a plot of land! :D

LA18:
Mobs: Caudatergus, Occulus, Atrox (all varying ages)
Tax: 10% (only temporary, dont worry ;) )

Welll..... heres the story of our journey to land:

We started by going to LA12 to get that one, but then Team LV showed up and told us to leave.... we were lik ummm no, and they said they would kill us if we didnt as well as come attack us at our claim later. so over TS, we discussed where else we should go, and finally decided on LA18. fun stuff happend there:

- a 50-person noob army led by OTMOPO3K (might have it wrong, but thats close lol)... easily dispatched by Porn Star and Sekka :p
- every one of our soc members at the claim ctd all at the EXACT same time except for one, and she said we all died of unknown causes... (ctd then boom die instantly... werent attacked, just... died.) and to make it even more strange, Mjukis was standing at the post when we all ctded... we all know that most of Warants is from sweden and has contact with MA, sooo.... enough of the conspiracy theories :)
- Tory showing up and wanting to play, as well as VVV from WT showing up twice to dance :) who both eventually left aftyer a while :p

After we had claimed LA18, we TPed over to LA10 (the south island) to see if maybe we can get another plot of land. well, that was definatly not the case. when we showed up to LA10, we were in the middle of a HUGE battle between Universal Brotherhood, BAHQ, FwaF, and a few other smaller societies. there must have been about 50 or so people there, and half were ghosts..... there was lots of gunfire goin off, revival killing by HOLLERRRRR and some FwaF members (which surprised me because krushkarkas hated revive killing when i was still in FwaF).

Sooo... through all the lag, we managed to escape the chaos of LA10 and head up to LA11 TP (since LA10's is still not functioning) and found that it had been claimed by Shaolin. we gratz'ed them on thei success, then TPed over to try and take the last unclaimed post that was currently under heavy attack by CC, WT, and some others (I dont really remember), along with Marco and shitloads of spectators. WT kept getting close to losing the claim, until eventually they lost complete control over it. Porn star from M2S as well as countless others were huddled around the claim post, clicking away on the claim button, when finally it became property of CC.

M2S called it a night and headed back to Twin Peaks for the returning of borrowed gear and repairs, and slept easy knowing that we actually got some land :cool:

When the final listing of claims popped up on the chat window, i was surprised at some of them, such as Universal Brotherhood, Shaolin, M2S (yeah i was surprised we got land too hehe), and PAC. They truly deserved the claims they got, and i would like to congratulae all of them as well as everyone else who got claims ;)

hehe ok time for another entry :cool:

I was runnin from the SC east of argus, to argus to meet a socmate to pass off the adjusted fap that we pass between our members, when i started to amass a big fanclub... i just ran from the SC straight to argus (as the Hiryuu flies) and just kept gathering mobs along the way... here is a pic:

BTW, that is only HALF of the mobs :) the other half died from being trapped on one another :) also in that pic... im in the process of dying :p

Okay, time for a new entry...

I have been thinking it over, and I have finally decided to take a short vacation from PE. I have been logging on less and less in the past month or so, mainly because of RL issues. So I think i will take a break from PE for a bit till things calm down here. :)

The main reason is (like I said) RL issues, such as:

  • I have been working like mad recently... approx 48+ hours per week
  • I have a girlfriend! Yeah it may be hard to believe, but it is true... her name is Sammye, and I met her at work... we had been talking for a while and became friends then i eventually got the courage to ask her out to lunch one day and thats when it all started. I will post a pic as soon as i have her permission :laugh:
  • School is starting soon, so all my money is going towards that. the college I am going to is about 45min away from where i live, so i have to commute, and fuel prices are going up and up and up... right now it is about $2.79 a gallon :eek: so I gotta save money for that, also my cost for this quarter is $997 and thats not even counting books! (which will probably be around $100-$200 for all)... so as you can see, there will not be much money to be putting into PE ;)

So, with that said, I will wrap up this post.

I will still try to browse the forums at least once a day, I will be online for new VUs and such or to just check in every once in a while, and I will be on K-Rock's TeamSpeak server if any of you use that ;)
