since "radios" activated whithin entropia I would like how much cost to run them?
How much they pay for the music/song rights to the artist/corps etc ?

edit

Unless 11.1 brought radios into the game, there are none.

Are you referring to the streaming content at places like CND?

-or-

Are you referring to the internet radio stations run by fans outside the game? (The most notable of which is Atlas Haven Radio).

yes i think about player's shoutcast, internet radios

if your talking about the ones outside eu then you can set one up for free via shoutcast for example

Live streaming with music of your choice – 25,000 PED

If you go to the Neverdie bank, you see a little horn thingy that's sending out the CND Live stream. I think that's what you'd get for the 25k... BUT... when you look at the operate part of that thingy, even though you can't operate it unless you are Neverdie, or Neverdie's second avatar - Banker Banker Manager, if I remember the name?... you can see that it allows any stream url to be entered... probably only a matter of time before copyright issues crop up... I don't think anyone's bought one of those fancy 25k ped horns other than Neverdie so far.

Also, the speculations in this thread (and even in the thread title: "radio within EU") that anything that happens on EntropiaRadio could reflect badly on MindArk or FPC are ridiculous.

Could be argued that EntropiaRadio uses at least some of the " images, characters, items, concepts," but that's something between MA|FPC and 711. If you wanted to start an out of game radio station similar to Entropiaradio, you'd have similar issues to deal with, or ignore and hope you don't get sued... ;) Have fun.

tnx ,i readed it but as see there 711 tell :
EntropiaRadio is in no way related to either MindArk PE AB, First Planet Company AB, or Entropia Universe. It is a privately owned website/internet radio station.

my question how much cost ~ /month to pay copyrights for music in a soutcast radio ( ofc out of entropia non ingame just a streamed what can listen whith any streamplayer, maybe the radios whos "talented" by entropia : atlasheaven-jamhot-mindstar ( these in the entropia loader maybe some other exist )

atm just asking . . .

There have been other discussions on this subject here on EF.

If you look at posts by 711 with "radio" in them, I believe you'll find some information regarding licensing, copyrighted material, intellectual property, and fees.

Don't worry about your command of English. If someone doesn't understand your question, they will ask you to clarify. :)

Make your own tunes, new stories, etc. or use public domain/open source music stuff and it'll be free! :) There's literally tons of public domain stuff out there that a lot of people completely ignore or don't care about... a radio station that hones in on that stuff could have potential?

music will not problem to me if i would make a radio

:) yes if i make a radio in the future will use osm ~, + ask artist be fore use their music

I read now https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/general-discussion/184431-abusive-words-local-chat.html when a ahr "dj" ppl send abuse case to MA because HE spammed in entropia but someone told him "whith nice words" stop SPAMing, this "dj" think his SPSMMIng righr but if someone say stop he send s upport case .. interest from Ur post https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/2372157-post13.html
All that aside, I've asked some AHR people before, but never got many responses that actually answered this - Are you guys getting permission from the copyright owners of the songs you play before you play them on your radio station?!? If not, why not? If you don't think you need to, why not? No one seems to be able to answer that directly... Why is that?

I just would to know ~ how much the existing radios pay ( because when i listened them a lil they used commercial songs ) & wondering they can pay hunting + music for their radios :eyecrazy:
maybe they can give me some tip how can hunt whith my old opalo to after some months can do lil thing as they do

contact 711 via pm and you might get a answer to your question :)

Licenses will vary depending on where you live. For information on how to get a license and how much it will cost you, I suggest talking to your local Performing Rights Organisation. These are the people who administer licensing and royalty payments for music.

In Hungary the PRO is Artisjus: http://www.artisjus.hu/

If they aren't the right people, I'm sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.

:) i find that site & found the internet radio section but there some modification things ( depend s on how much % the music for the full "radiotime" etc etc

as i said if i wanna start a radio any kind of theme ( style info/gamer etc) maybe will use self made/opensource musics

just I interert ~ how much cost / montly the right from-till example : daily12hour online 1$-6$ , 24 hours online 2-16$ :D
these fees only for non open/self music

- just one of many p2p type of systems like the one in shoutcast already mentioned.. Problem with this though is if you are not paying the royalties for the songs you play, someone can come along later and sue you. However, as mentioned, making your own stuff means you have 100% of the copyright to it, so then you are in the clear. Grab a midi keyboard, learn to sing, or do a newscast, and off you go.

Desperatly want some tunes.. Make sure to get permission, pay the royalties you need to or go some other method, such as Royalty free... http://www.google.com/search?q=roya...-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1

Public domain works too http://www.google.com/search?q=publ...-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1

Got a lot of open air time... Why not have someone read a book to your listeners...
http://librivox.org/ - they claim that the recordings are released to public domain at librivox, but that does not mean it's 100% court official that one of the readers won't come after you in a few years with a lawsuit if they are jerks...

Anything created in 1922 or before can be considered public domain... that's just the general rule of thumb. Newer stuff can be sometimes... at least here in the U.S... Similarly almost anything created by the U.S. Government is up for grabs since its the taxpayers money that made it. That's why people are free to do interesting and silly things with the president's speeches all over the interent.

Public domain stuff boring... REMIX IT! Speed it up, slow it down, layer several songs on top of one another... take beats from one song and put them on another... mix it with your own voice recordings. Throw in some drum beats from your midi keyboard on top... Make it your own. Be creative, and make something we'll want to listen to. Stuff that's truly in the public domain has NO COPYRIGHTS on it, so it's yours to play with as you please!.. ;)

Who knows, you just might be the Tay Zonday
