How does one know the total PED in loot for a single kill? Do you just have to watch the global/hof messages? or add the PED for each item in the loot box?

no one knows. eu is dynamic. However, it's been proven a couple of times that if you let mob heal then keep hitting it, letting it heal, over and over, you can incrementally add to tt value of what will come out since you are paying more decay in... just hope like heck that if you do that though that it doesn't turn in to a no looter

Loots over 50 ped you see on chat as Global or HoF messages, the lower ones you just have to add up yourself.
After a while you learn to see about how much the things in the window are in TT value by looking at the ammo/oil amount. Later you probably don't care. ;)

I really wish the loot window had a indicator for total TT value looted, or better yet if a log of each item looted and its tt value was dumped to the log file(as well as a message for what you just killed).

Unfortunately all we have is manual addition.

But ya, like the above poster said, once you kill a lot of something, you basically can tell how much ped dropped at a glance. Assuming you clear your loot window after each loot.

And that's another feature i wish they would implement. Either auto close and reopen on each loot, or open a new window on each loot. Preferably let us choose between the 3, the way it is now, auto clear, or a new window for each loot.

It gets kind of boring after a while though. Over time, it always averages out to ~80-90% of the ammo used to kill whatever it is you're hunting. (edit: although short term variance can be huge, like 10% of ammo used.)

Here's a trick with missions:

1. Using the mission, track how many monsters you kill during a run.
2. Total all your loot at the end of the hunt. Don't group stacks. Ammo you are using automatically becomes a separate stack from looted ammo.
3. Divide loot by kills, and you get your average.

EU Hunter tool might be the answer to your question. :)
