There has been a lot of threads discussing what is an uber and what is a medium avatar.
I think its possible to be bit scientific about it if you want. In real life KPI (Key Performance Indicators) are often used to give a single number to measure something complex. We could do the same for our avatars hunting abilities.
My proposal would be a hunting skill index that is:
Highest hit profession + Highest damage profession + hit points + evader level + paramedics level
I think these are the most important aspects of an avatars hunting skills.
For a new player straight off the ship the index would be: 0+0+88+0+0 = 88
I am currently at 54+55+164+29+27 = 329
A top 3 soc soc score is probably something like 100+100+250+50+50 = 550
A hunting gear index could be:
Highest impact protection of the gear you have + Highest max dps you can dish out with your gear + max heal / min you have with your gear.
A new player would score something like
Pixie = 9
Unmaxed Opalo = 2
Unmaxed Vivo t1 = 2
= 13
I would currently score
Phantom + 5B = 36
BL1300 w Dante (89+31)*(55/60) = 110
SK50 69*(20/60) = 23
= 169
A top 3 soc member probably scores something like:
Supremacy + 8A = 62
Svempa XT w Bull TacElite (104+50)*(60/60) = 154
Improved fap 120*(29/60) = 58
= 274
So a total Hunting index for the new player is 88+13=101 for me its 329+169=498 and for a top 3 soc uber its 550+274=824
And for the record, this index only measures hunting ability. The definition of what an uber is, thats another subject. It does not measure how economical you are or how much you can profit, only what is your highest hunting ability.
What do you think? Its a bit complicated but it gives an easy number to track your improvements and to compare with others and it takes into account some of the most relevant skills and gear.
I feel like a mid level hunter so for me mid level would be something like 300-600 in hunting index...
