kobold and 3b plates

Im thinking of buying some kobold armour for feffs but I was wondering if its good for other mobs? If I put 3b plates on would it be decent for drones?

Also which plate is more eco 2a or 3a.

From a thread I made long ago:

For drones, molisks, argos, calamusoid, ambu, umbras, berries, equus, estophyls, etc. etc. I only wear kobold + the appropriate plates...

Kobold + a well thought out plate collection can let you hunt for years.
