I get some weird error when I go to the website and now the application doesn't work right and says there is a new version. How does one get the new version without access to the website?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I thought someone might have more info.

Both http://mininglog.com/ and the application work for me.

edit: the website doesn't support HTTPS atm though, so that "weird error" might be your browser being paranoid.
