A MF chip of any kind demands a MF implant to be used
A MF implant is inserted using an inserter from TT terminal, you can buy for 15 ped, insert Neopsion and sell back, you will need it next time only as you change implant or chip in or out skills.
The Neopsion implants are divided into 2 categories: UL and (L)
(L) are of 2 kinds
(A) kind that are like the P10 armatrix extender and absorb 10% of chip decay)
(B) kind that are like the P20 armatrix extender and absorb 20% of chip decay
UL
in the series 10 to 100 absorb 2% of chip decay
then we have some top tier implants that absorb more decay as per table below
It is clear that over profession level 100 it is mandatory to use one of those Implants
but it is woth to note that the "PROFESSION" level means not the level of the user,
but the MAC level that the chip must have to be used alongside the implant.
with this in mind, a Corrosive 10 chip that need level 37 in profession can be
used with a impplant series 55 but not with a series 30 one.
A MODIFIED neopsion if you own a (L) chip (of course absorbing decay on an UL item
is totally useless due to the fact that it does not bear markup but "cost to acquire"
an 85-B IMPLANT LIMITED cost 105% markup so if you plant to use it with a
restoration chip Limited (that bears 800% markup and more) it is worth to use.
if you use an unlimited chip, an "extender" implant is totally useless.
being such the situation, that 5% markup on a limited "extender implant"
means 50 ped every 1000 ped implant decay,,,,,
to pay 1000 ped markup you need to decay 1000/5% = 20.000 Ped implants
i can assure that decaying 100 ped of an implant needs week of skilling.
as usual Entropia Universe is freindly to who understand numbers
so before purchasing an implant check the prices and consider the use
that you plan to do with it.
if you plan to buy MF chips (L) from AH or from street traders that dump them
on a regular basis at 101....104% the best purchase is a UL implant
a Neopsion 55 goies with you until 60 DPS chips and cost TT+20 PED
if you use a Restoration or arsonistic chip that bear high markup a class B
implant any level that hold the chip lowest markup is best
for higher end unlimited..... well as you can use a 100 profession level chip.,
you will know much better than me what to do........
