So I am a fairly new player and know I want to be a miner by profession. I want to start out right and not waste time of effort on all the other distractions. (Well ok maybe a little crafting...) I am looking for an active society and a mentor that can help me along the way in this journey. I have done a bit of the basic exploring and have already acquired a number (a small number) of TP locations on Caly and have found a few spots that seem to be good for leveling mining as a beginner (lyst and crude) I have read and watched a lot of content and seen others mining logs with what equipment they are using and their results so I have a basic idea of where to start but really want to know how things can progress. It really seems like it is taking a ton of PED and a lot of mining low level things to even begin to get some basic level points. Any thoughts are welcome. I am EST and usually play in the evenings. So far I really enjoy the game and plan to stick with it.
