Ive gone through a few of the guides here and havnt been able to find the answers to a few questions.

Is it possible to remap the keyboard ? The default keyboard layout is a bit hard to use.

Is there an auto run key ? Having to hold the button down for long periods gets annoying.

And whats the trick to gathering sweat ? I leave town running in one direction till I find some critters. I get the critter between the 1st and 2nd circle and do the chant thing. My hands start glowing green so I click the critter again and a green light goes from me to the critter for a while. Then it comes up with something like sweat acquisition failed.

Ive tried gathering for a few hours now. Lots and lots of attempts and not one success yet. Is it some super random thing where it works ? or is there a trick to it ? The critters Im trying to get sweat from usually end up agroing on me and killing me pretty quick.

Ive tried asking questions in game with no luck so far. So I thought I would give the forums a shot.

Yup. Press O for that.

On the action menu (default x), Misc tab, there's "Run". Default key is (not 100% sure) F3 I think.

See the Sticky threads section for a guide on sweat gathering. You're doing it right, though. You just need to try again and again. It will succeed at some point.

Good luck :)

Press O for options and remap them there.

Press X for the book of actions and drag and drop the auto run to your quick bar at the top of the screen.

And whats the trick to gathering sweat ?

You have low skills. It takes quite a few attempts. Try going to Camp Phoenix and watch others there and give it a go.

Your mentor should also help with these things.

Hope that helps.

Cheers guys for the quick responses.

Ill see if I can find this Camp Pheonix.

I'll ignore the questions that have allready been answered fully, and fill in a couple tidbits of my own.

Is there an auto run key ? press 3 once and you'll run in a straight line automatically :) That's the default, although using Jove's method you can change it to whatever you want.

Sweating's difficult, and it's probably a waste of time, except for the fact sweat prices are so damn high :/

To sweat I'd advise going to camp phoenix and copying all the other people there, if the mob (the animal) attacks you, just continue, don't run away, it will soon move off, and you should get some sweat after a while, once you get a bit higher sweat gather skill your success rate will increase. Be warned that at level 120 your ability to sweat is stopped, commonly known as the sweat cap.

Another method of sweating would to get an axe, and a fap-5, possibly a basic set of pixie armour, and go to North Atlas Haven, you'll find a load of snablesnot young, go next to it and sweat it, when it attacks you (you can walk next to it for hours and it won't attack you, but sweating might cause it to attack after a bit) just kill it with your axe, you'll get skills, and money from the sweat.

I think all your questions are answered...
But try to find a mentor, who'll help you with these things and more.
If you have a mentor already, and he/she doesn't help you, get rid of him/her while you can, and find someone who will and can.

Just a thought about the failed sweat attempts: You may be attempting to sweat the wrong mobs. I'm not sure if MA has changed this, but it used to be impossible to sweat mutants. I know Molisks are now sweatable but I'm not sure whether other mobs that used to be mutants, are also sweatable now.
Someone told me recently that Feffoids are also sweatable now.

Well... Ask your mentor :D

Camp Phoenix is at the following coordinates:

9784, 10588.

To see the coordinates you're at, press P...

There is another way to auto run & auto walk, not been mentioned yet.

basically in options enable 'navigate with mouse button'

then just click on scenery once for walk, twice for run, the sky is easiest, but anywhere will do,

then hit space-bar before you get to wherever it is you clicked, then you can auto-run/walk, all you need to do is look around.

its the only way to auto walk i know of, plus if you wanted to collect dung is saves your keyborad fingers a lot of aching :)

are the peeps in here at EF friendly or what!? ;)

welcome to PE earthling :kos:

Just a quick question about this Mentor thing. I heard once I got over 20 in any skill I cant get one. Does this cover skills like evade and agility ? Or only skills shown in the disciple window that show when I stop being a disciple ?

I *think* it's any of them... If you want, we can try though... I can meet you ingame, and you can kick me after we tested.

Sure why not. When will you be on next ? I only have a few TP at the moment.

Good luck to you...don't sell anything to the Trade Terminal before you check its price either online or in the auction.
