lines :

Im getting access denied when trying to save my edits to that file :mad:
 
...and dont have EU running :eyecrazy:

or just edit and/or add the lines while EU isnt running

Worked great!

But this is how I had to go about doing it.

  1. Launch Entropia
  2. Go to Options\Graphics
  3. Click Windowed Resolution
  4. Put mouse over the Resolutions but do not click
  5. Switch to Folder and Copy Paste *C:\Users\Public\entropia universe\public_users_data\settings-ce.cfg* in address bar.
  6. Change *r_WidthWin = 1920* and then *r_HeightWin = 1080*.
    **Note there are 2, r_Width = 1920 and r_WidthWin = 1920, r_Height = 1080 and r_HeightWin = 1080. The one with Win at end is for windowed mode. r_HeightWin = 1080
  7. Click Save after entering changes.
  8. Now go back to the Entropia Window, Options window should still be open.
  9. Do not make any changes or click resolutions, Simple click X to close the options window

So this means we can play full screen windowed?
If so, is this actually a legit thing for EU?
Cos well I read some crap and think its not allowed to mess with the core files or something
But will be very interested in a reply since playing windowed kinda sucks but when i tab to my second screen i always get minimized :D

I tried when I had client and EU closed out and it didnt seem to work, also tried when EU was running but not with options open.

Made sure to save and parameters were correct in notepad, it reverted back once I launched EU.

For me this was my only work around, thats why I posted how I got it done.

Thanks for reply tho, might work for msot, in my case it didnt get it tho.

I trust *ktpsmf* 100% and if this wasnt allowed im also 100% without a doubt positive he would know about it and would not recommend it in the first place. Even if it was possible he would not tell me / us to do it if it was in violation.
 
NOTE!!!

The setting.cfg file has changed locations and is now in:

C:\ProgramData\entropia universe\public_users_data\settings-ce.cfg


Ive updated the post to reflect the patch.

Trying to find the .cfg file in question
Despite my screen being 1920x1080, that for me only works in Fullscreen. When I try to switch to Windowed, I would *accept* 1680x1050x32, however, I only get a measly 1280x720 or less.

Unacceptable!! Hope UE5 fixes this, but I’m confident that a workaround exists
