hi guys...never was very social....but i did contribute to that universe over a decade, started 2006. my biggest hof was about 26k ped, some years ago. i did deposit ALOT more. I never got anything nice, no item, no ath, nothing. my best discoverie was a lvl 1 mind chip.
In the past 6 month i did depo over 100k ped. biggest hof was 8k explo. I would liket o cry because i loved this game so much from my start....i invited a friend to this game and he got a 42k tower after a few month, i was happy for him and thought there will be some loot for me too, but this never happened and iam now sure it never will be.

So its time for me to say good bye, I have a few crafting, mining and hunting skills, if you are intrested pm me, all about arround 300k skills...

Trust me, I've quit/taken breaks multiple times, twice I've sold skills and the third I left my avatar and just sold items.

I was going to hold my thoughts to myself, but if you deposited 10k and clicked explosives thinking you will get your money back, then you were greatly mistaken. Crafting explosives is like the slot machine, and the machine is designed to always have the house (MA) win. Sell your gear, keep your skills, and see if your thoughts have not changed in 6-12 months. Best of luck!

Im sorry but I just have to call BULLSHIT on your statement that crafting explosives is casino-style gambling.

Every time someone quits the game and hits at what they did to lose their depo money, some idiot will dive in saying "Oh hunting is gambling, crafting is gambling, mining is gambling, reselling is gambling.'

It's all FUCKING GAMBLING! The mathematics from numerous players shows this; you lose 1 ped for every 10 ped spent. Everything else is luck that improves millimetrically with skill and patience.

You're not wrong about everything being gambling, because it is. However, gambling at a poker table is not the same as gambling at a slot machine. Some have better 'odds' to the player versus others. I feel that people get conned into thinking "oh, well he spent 10k ped on explo IV and hit a 80k ped hof, I'm sure I'll hit at least a 20k one and be happy" which is not true. I can't think of a profession that can lose that amount of money that quickly besides lvl 13 amp mining on FOMA/Arkadia UG/HELL. The money goes so quickly it usually stuns/shocks the person after it's over with disbelief.

At least with mining you can hit it big and get SOME markup, explosive ammo is TT in TT out. If he had tried to hunt 100k ped on even purely shared loot mobs, I'm sure that halfway through he would've said this is enough. That is why explosives IV is the biggest gamble because you are only playing for TT values, and nothing else, at an incredibly fast rate.

Also, no need to get all upset or call people idiots. It's an open forum, we're all entitled to our opinions and observations.
