I have added a new field in the UserCP under "Edit profile" called "Society", it's located at the bottom under "Additional information".
There you can write which society you are a member of.
When writing your Society in your profile it will appear in posts (See example in this post under my "Location").
It also appears in your public profile, when other members look at your profile.
It is also searchable in the "Members List", just click "Search Members" and choose "Advanced Search", type the society you wanna search for in the society search field, click search and all members of that society will show up (atleast those that have specified their society in their profile).
