Hi!

At the moment we have situation where space is lootable, but pirates cant loot any decent player because of Mothership services and logout option.

Also, mothership owners, who invested lot of money into SI structure of their ship are not satisfied...

There are petitions for removing logout option... or petitions for implementing teleporters again between planets...

So, new model, new idea...

All comments, suggestions, critics are welcome.

Space is lootable.

Logout option is still available.

Pirates point of view
Pirates can destroy motherships and other ships and loot any logged player.
Addition: if pirates manage to destroy mothership, as a loot they get parts of ships they can sell (iron, oil, whatever...)...
MA is responsible for giving loot to pirates.
Mothership loot is calculated in this way:
Loot = 5 % of Structural integrity value (or some other percent)... higher SI, bigger loot.... higher SI, bigger risk for pirates

Mothership loot > tt value of ammo needed for destroying mothership...
Loot should be shared on SHARED loot principle... if one pirate shoots on ms many times, in the end his part of loot is bigger...
If pirate attack group is bigger, everyone gets less loot... if there are less attackers, loot is bigger for everyone

If MS doesnt have lot of repairers, it will be easier for pirates to destroy it, costs will be lower and profit higher...
If there are lot of repaires and well organised crew, costs will be bigger, maybe attack will be unsucsessfull and pirates loose money (MA wins)

In this model pirates are interested in attacking motherships, if they are well organised and if they are sometimes lucky, they'll make profit...
And profit could bring more players from EVE to EU...

Mothership owner point of view
MS owners are interested in transporting their passangers accros space, higher success rates, higher ticket prices, more customers, bigger profit
MS owners could be also rewarded for every succesfull trip between space stations with tokens... every trip 1 token... for every 250 tokens they collect, they trade them with NPC for some very valuable reward...
High SI and good crew in this model is very important, they protect passangers

Passangers point of view
They can logout and their loot is protected... they are interested in using motherships for traveling across space. Ther will be no players outrage, no lawsuit, no quitting etc.
What happens with passangers if MS gets destroyed?

Automatically they get teleported to new space station, in far part of spece, they are not looted.
How do they get back to some planet?
There is a teleport, you pay 50 peds and you are teleported to Cyrenne or Next Island.... it has to be one of undeveloped planets so they have to travel again with MS or their own quad to Caly...
They are interested in using good MS services, because if they use some MS or privater which has no repair crew, they will get stuck in far part of space...

And what if someone cant pay 50 extra peds or ge doesnt want to pay?
There should be extra NPC mission:
User should go and sweat special mob, collect 2500 bottles of special "red sweat"... he brings it back to NPC and gets teleported back to Cyrenne or Next island...
If you have no money, go spend some time sweating and buy your way out.... mobs there should be ambus, hogglos and loot should suck generally...

MA point of view
MS owners improve their motherships, they spend money.... crewmen and repairers spend money on wires and decay of RK-5
Pirates spend ammo on attack, plus decay of quady, space thrusters etc...
Passangers of destroyed ships sometimes pay for their way out...
Money spent in game > loot given to pirates for destroyed ships

So Basically Mothership owners loose out to pirates and for passengers all remains the same.
I would rather have the pirates loose. So here's your NAY
