Suggestions about ammo, + i want OJs in TT

Let's start with the silly request, can we please get OJs as TT clothes, so I can buy em back, I am sure other players have tt:ed them at one point and wish they hadn't. Or alternatively, make them tradeable, so newbies can sell em for a few peds.

The more serious suggestion, is about ammo.

First of all, explosive ammo should be added to TT (I know a lot of people have already asked for this). More importantly, I'd like the "normal" ammo to be removed completely from loot, to be replaced by a new type of ammo.

With the popular addition of the Arsonic ten chip, I'd like to see more weapons/ammo that do DoT (damage over time) or status damage. So my suggestion is that, instead of simply getting normal BLP/Laser ammo, the loot should contain special ammo: Incendiary, Armor Piercing, explosive and so forth.

This new type of ammo should be usable with the normal blp/laser weapons as an alternative ammo type and the ammo type should be beneficial against specific mobs.

i.e. armor piercing does bonus damage on bots (since it can pierce their metal body) (hollow point extra dmg on mobs without armor) and incendiary could have % chance to add a burn DoT to mobs.

Obviously adding something like this would be hard, since all weapons would have to be modified to be able to use different ammo types for the same weapon, not to mention mobs need to be adjusted so that they take more/less dmg from a specific ammo type.

This would add some more strategy to the game (as the arsonic chip has). Team hunts would be more rewarding this way, if you i.e. have an arsonic hunter that keeps the DoT up on the mob while the rest focus on dishing out dmg.

Anyway, let me know what you think, or if you perhaps alternative suggestions to this.

Well yes and no, I am not a programmer I don't know how hard this would be to do. It would be a considerable change yes, but I don't expect it to be an over night project, more of a 2-3 year project (since MA seems to have so much to do that everything takes very long time).

But the introduction of arsonic chips was a great addition offering some strategy to the hunts (more than just balancing armor and dps). So if MA keeps this trend going and further develops hunting, it could be rewarding for them, making the game the hunting aspect of the game more interesting and as I mentioned in OP that team hunts would be promoted even further with the option of different strategies.

A lot of people complain about the low TT return and the bad MU in hunting and I agree with most of them, but the actual loot is just one aspect of the game, improving the features of hunting is just as important.

Well that's my two pecs anyway (and yes I know people don't see this as a game, but rather a virtual casino universe, but considering how much time people spend ingame, it wouldn't hurt to make the different occupations ingame more fun with new additions and features).
 
Maybe the point of Mindforce is for it to be a strategic hunting device.

Instead of making every way to hunt the same, as your post suggests, maybe we should be thinking of ways to actually make each way to hunt different. Right now there is no difference between Laser Pistol, BLP Pistol, Laser Rifle, BLP Rifle, Plasma, Gauss, or even sword/dagger.

They are just ways to inflict damage, the only thing that changes is the range.

Mindforce has something unique. We should follow its lead and encourage creative ideas for other weapons. Not destroy its uniqueness and therefore once again create a vanilla experience for all users.

IMHO ammo is fine. MA should think about HOW skills are used and augment existing weapon types with fun rewards for skilling up, like called shots, sniper shots, burst firing/cooldown, arc swings, defensive/offensive stances, etc...
 
OJ's should be tradeable. They used to be. There was a guy who had a buy order on Auction for TT+25 within the last 3 weeks, but nobody can fill that order :( I would like to see them in the TT or be tradeable again. I don't like the trend to non-tradeable items.

Silly question, but what on earth are OJ's? Every time I read this particular abbreviation I think of Orange Juice.

Are we talking about the Orange Jumpers? :scratch2:

As far as I know the Orange Jump Suit is trade-able. That is how I was able to procure my second set.. but not until after I paid something stupid to a newb for it.. This was a year or two ago though so I haven't checked since if they were trade-able/TT-able. Good luck being able to get your Orange Jump Suit back. :)

they recently changed to have 1pec TT value, and I believe untradeable (I will have to check when I log in later)
