surely doesn't seem fair

I was offline working in real Life...making Money..I've had my ath... Wasn't this big but oh well, was fun while it lasted
 
my problem is not with the fella that hit the ath, i'd rather see someone hit something like that than no one at all. for me, i guess it is the persistence thing, where persistence and skilling up seem to have no effect. i just see so many people, aside from myself, that are so thoroughly unhappy with their loot that it is a huge shame. i still think that there has to be a better way to do it, but maybe this is the way ma has to do it to be better for ma.

I would like to congratulate the guy or girl that popped that ATH, even if a noob.

And "if" they post in forum (which would be lovely), please do the honourable thing and gratz them.

Let face it, if we were a noob, and hit it, we would be mega happy too.

Was here years before my first hof, some peeps jut get lucky...maybe good advertising.

The good news is, there is bound to be another Fat ATH in the near future to look for.

yeah, i agree. i hope he realizes just how rare it is. i also hope he has a lot of guidance on how to spend it wisely ingame, if he is unsure himself. also, i hope he takes a nice vacation for himself.

Unfortunately, not likely in this community. I never posted my ATH here (from 2 years ago) for that very reason. I got enough grief and hate from strangers in game that I didn't feel the need to create another place for them to add to it. I had only been playing just over a year, so I could understand the frustration from veterans - but hate the game, not the player :) .

Right on target .... As I always say, do not mind the player just think that those who control the MA should think beyond their noses.

- MA has not spread the player base to multiple planets in order to increase the time intervals between high loots such as ATHs!

glad you are enjoying the irony you perceive...

do i think there are more deserving participants that should have got it? yes, there are many. more deserving because they grind endlessly and deposit. they are almost never rewarded. and, i am not talking about just me.

did the ath negatively affect people other than me? yes, many.

if you cant see the fundamental flaw with these loots, your eyes are clouded.

ultimately i guess, ma considers this the best strategy for them for reasons that are way beyond me.

also notice, i never flamed the fella that got the ath. my problem is with the system not the player.
 
Whining like this has already fucked up mining loot once, let's not do it again.

No, mate, your eyes are clouded. I'm an whiner extraordinaire, if I'd have to gather all the posts and threads I made out of pure envy, I'd fill easily a forum page in regular view.

But the problem is at you. Is normal for the game to give out once in a while some big hit like that. Sometimes will be a veteran, but more times it will be a medium/low lvl player. Just because they're many. Very many.

You're just mistaking ATHs for regular loot. It can't happen. You force the game, similar to crafters going on full condition because why not, and you come in the situation where only an ATH would put you to break-even/profit. And that is your fault, there is no bloody flaw with these loots.

The loots were in a damn flaw 2-3 years ago when you'd go around and hit 50% tt on regular basis. And you'd need a big pedcard just to hit the balance loot. The flaw was that the enormous majority of players don't have a big pedcard.

But nowadays that aspect was regulated in this regard. What you get is what you ask for. You've been warned in that "confession" thread: you're running on negative markup and you're running big in this regard. It's unavoidable you'll lose if you keep up that style and it's only your fault.

You keep depositing and losing because you chose so. You simply cannot ignore the taxes, you cannot ignore the markup of ores vs. taxes and vs. markup of amps and, eventually, finder and enhancers. Change that and you'll have an easier life.

Ofc you might still run into minus periods, it's normal. But to amplify that minus at your own will and, respectively, to nullify your positive runs because of same behaviour can't have a good result. If the game would be balanaced so that players of your kind could run into profit, where should eco players sit then? On tops of gold mountains? From what money?

Now BUY THAT UNLIM LVL8 and sell me that LVL5 beeeyotch!!!

What is so wrong about the system??? It's so much more fair than you think... Just look at Trash's mining log and check out the TT returns... pretty consistent in the long run... because it's the same for everyone in the long run!!! I guarantee my TT return would be close to the same if I bothered tracking that sort of stuff...

Some of us remember Strash before he was so "uber" Frankie. :laugh:

I can't personally say if he's the "best" miner yet, it's not to me to decide anyway...but in my eyes not even close....but his arrogance always reaches new hights. At that he's reaching new heights...best in game imo.
If it was a stuck up, arrogant,asshole contest. Strash leads the pack! Congrats Strashy ole sock. You must be proud...:laugh:
 
I left this open for a couple of days for you all to vent - which seems to be inevitable every time some lucky new/mid level player gets a nice loot these days.
