The kindest thing anyone has done for you

one i met in my noob days: 1 yr ago was Beki Beki Viera.

it was some kind of party with prizes and such.

and it was a game to find a person to win 50-100 ped (cant remember)
¨
anyway Beki came to the PA docks and asked if anyone wanted to hunt with her.

so whilst everyone was looking for that person i said yes to join her hunting.

and while in a chopper i told Beki then that i dont have the skills to hunt the mobs she wanted.

so she said that we could hunt any mob i would like and that i could heal her (no not prots but more in the levi- atrox stalker range)

so she made a group and i saw that she had the one that the person who did most dmg got the highest tt stack and the one who did less dmg got the smaller stacks.

and so it meant that i got a part of the loot when she hunted.

and after that hunt i had about 100 ped in loot and i hunted with her a couple more times giving me a great start in this game.

(she hasnt logged on for a while tho so does anyone know what happend to her)?

I wonder if that's the same Beki that helped out a couple of my soc back in 2005-2006? If so, good to see the generosity continue:)

dakin gaz garos gave me 4 rk5s and welding wires to get free skills on repairing tyvm bro...:) I NEED MORE!!!

Inviting me to run keys for free.

Lending me ped when I am low.

NBK Army guys back when I was new running events, where you could win useful prizes :D

Just people teaching me stuff they do not want the world to know :)

If I had to say one thing, I'd have to rank the generosity by PED value and the most generous and kindest thing someone has done for me would be the man Skytle DBlooD from Aussie Entropians, for loaning me Full Vigilante (M) + 6A plates, Justifier Mk.II + A103 + 2x Gargul Lasers + 1x Jzar Scope so I could being a force to be reckoned with during WoF in 2010 and telling me I don't need to repair any of it after I'm done (that was HEAPS of fun).

There is of course a massive list for the generous and kind things people have done for me that I spent the last 30mins taking a trip down memory lane of my past 5 years in Entropia thinking about.

Jimmy Inno felix - cause after I sold him an item I never got the peds but he got the item then found me and traded me, after that helped me at sweat group and did a trivia.

Almost finishing 2007 April, with less 1 month in game, avatar name Craig Allan Bonham find me near Twin peaks trying kill Argonaut Young with my Opalo. He help me with several kill and say me about i can try apply to Global Alliance. Some days after, i read at Entropiaforum Ozi recruit post. If i do not find Craig in game, i never think about apply Global Alliance society.

Thank you, Craig.

In my first week (2005) i was happily exploring and chatting to people, sweating occasionally. Anyways i started to try to trade and was spamming in PA. (i was crap at it, no patience)

Anyways someone completely random came up to me and gave me a free jester d1 to do with as i pleased. It was awesome, i cannot remember the name of them.

When i asked why, he/she said, "Just do the same for someone else when you have the peds"

And about 3 years later i did exactly the same (again i cannot remember who to). And asked them to continue on the sharing

Rgds

Angelica Coffee Lastrome and Deacon Deke Pierce. Two awsome guys, too bad they quit EU..

On my 3rd day Kathleen Luckz Baker grabbed my attention outside vu.10 Port Atlantis, where I was solo sweating Exarosaurs and killing them with my Longsword while wearing Settler armor. I was quite bored, ready to quit. She convinced me to go to Swamp Camp with her, where I met a bunch of new people. She also trekked with me, on foot (and just the two of us noobs). I ended up writing this story featuring our adventure on MMORPG.com. That story ended up bringing in quite a few people, whom I would run into randomly for months to come.

http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/...A-players-story-from-beginning-until-now.html

Pete Hines later took me under his wing and put up with my crazy theories and nonsensical questions while I learned the game. He helped undo some damage an individual had done, whereby I was advised to purchase a bunch of really horrible gear. He also helped set straight a bunch of concerns I had regarding rumors and crackpot theories that existed on the forums.

Nighthawk has taken me on numerous adventures throughout Calypso, mainly just exploring, flying about, etc. He was a fan of this when vehicles first came out. Great fun. He didnt do this for cash, and never once asked for any sort of compensation for the adventure.

Kim|Calypso has been nothing but generous in his time. He has been receptive to questions, ideas, feedback, and miscellaneous comments. He helped me spearhead the Nymphtown Castle renovation project, where I attempted to return a vu.10 PA style Swamp Camp back to the Entropian population. It has had limited success, and may still grow into something. Such is the changing nature of EU.

John Capital has not perma-banned me. Yet.

Those are all very nice things.

Or you could forget I exist. I mean, it's not like we have any actual reason to talk to each other. That you've got an axe you want to grind with me does not mean I reciprocate. Really I have had no dealings with you outside of the forum and your time as a balconeer. Neither of which are the most pleasant of places to have met anyone. Sadly some people sided with the fellow who tried to steal a mothership, using another fellows lack of charisma as a way to conveniently smokescreen his own less than upstanding nature, and have a problem simply saying "Sorry. I was wrong." Instead they poke at people with sideways remarks... this keeps a conflict going when there is no need, desire, or really interest in one.

Not PEDs but...........

I don't keep a close eye on PED or items, I deposited from day 1, but I have met several people in EU - who have given me very special 'gifts'. The first was 'Nemissarie Nem Knight', who quit after VU 9. I remember him teaching me everything from how to attach armor, to how to use a tagger LMAO. Then there have been a couple of 'special' friends, the reason I'm still here, the first one, no names, we spent a solid month typing ten hours a day to chat! I'm a bit disadvantaged in mobility, and she was a very close friend, by my standards. She quit when I was thinking it was getting a little intense, I'm not surprised, still, a bit sad. Then, a multitude of other friends, who don't patronise me or put me down, in other words; 'take me for who I am' and tolerate me being as changeable as the weather, that's why I play.

lol...you're right it was a cheap sideways shot. For the record, given our past track record, it honestly was meant in jest, but I can understand how you missed my joke. ;)
Pete is a good guy, and he helped out someone that wound up not only staying in EU, but investing in EU. For the record, being a former member of Pete's soc I know what a great guy he is, and what a great soc he and his wife Kris have. :)

It dosn't help EU or the forum taking stupid petty shots. I apologize for being a dick in a thread that was not meant to be hijacked with crap.

Soooo....
The kindest things (and there have been many over the last 6 years, let me be honest, so I could never ever list them all.) was FIRST PANPETONIAR WIND lending me armours and equipment when I was a noob without asking collateral,(It was later when I realized what those armours and plates were worth, and the peds he wagered on me over and over.) and just being a stand up guy helping me so much when I was a noob. Also Serica for all she did for me. She flew friends that were stuck on cnd on my account and trusted me to pay her later. She lent me her soc apartment back in the old cnd days so i could store my hof there until i flew down and wouldn't take collateral. So many other things I could never list them all. Serica has truly been a giant for me personally. There's no way I could ever repay her kindness, advice and just a sounding board when needed a friend.

Trust and friendship was the best gift I was ever given in EU. :)

Trust and friendship in EU is everything...

When someone does something nice for you...try to pay it forward...i've always tried to live by that. Thanks to First and Serica. :)

My old disciple warrior01 came to me one day and gave me a textured cognac coat.. Because I mentored him so well...
I still wear it each and every day. :yay:

I find it hard, if not impossible to believe that a player of your longevity's kindest experience has been the gift of a coat. It's a sociable game, no intangible gifts? Time? Encouragement? I'm sure you get my point :p

Many years ago, before we had the disciple program and mining veins were possible (and we had old school claim rods)... Kazzza (Starfinder) took me under his wing and showed me every tip and trick he knew to mining and put up with my constant newbie questions

He did this without expecting some sort of ME gift or anything, he just did it to extend his knowledge to a new miner. That's how the community used to be. *sigh*

Borrowing me an imp fap for over a month during events wo charging a rental fee.
Thx **** :)

A good friend giving me her Gremlin armour when i restarted last year, thanks a heap :D

Since i play, a lot players was kind to me, so really hard to say what the kindest thing was.

One kind thing, i never will forget, was in the first days i was play EU/PE. I bought a nice noob armor with my first peds i got from sweating, and then i got scammed with the "color armor scam". I lost my thights, and was really crying around about that. And then a very kind ava trade me and gave me peds to buy new thights. Just to bad i cant remember the name of this nice person. But i think i never will forget this kind help!

I play now more as 7 years, and i could write tons of nice and kind things, other ppl was doing to me, but this would explode the size of this post.:)

When I first started 6 years ago, on my first day, a couple of people gave me a full set of TT armour and a TT powerfist, we did a team hunt near the stables at the old PA (remember when PA was small, simple and popular). I think they did it just to laugh at me as I ran in to punch the MOBs while they stood back and shot :)

A few days later someone offered to swap my TT armour for a pixie set, I was real worried I was getting scammed but I did it and it wasn’t a scam, just someone being nice.

Later on after an opalo hunt someone “nice” said they’d make a me a better red gun and gave me a Jester D1, lol.

One day someone “nice” offered a free trip to CND (now FOMA) so I went up all excited and explored up there. Only problem is I had no PEDs for a flight back and people just laughed at me when I tried to sell sweat up there (sweat sold at over 6 PED per K back then). Ended up cleaning up after parties, (collecting stuff dropped on the dance floor for decoration). But after a few weeks I still couldn’t afford a ticket. For the first and only time I had to beg and some nice person gave me a few PEDs so I could afford a ticket back to Caly – (remember the old pilot line system).

A lot of nice people

I was stuck at an outpost before the vehicles. I was a noob trying to get tps and had no tpchip. Was on my way to Reis defense or around there and got stuck at an outpost surrounded by atrox.

I had been stuck for a few days before at an other outpost for a few days so I was really afraid to find myself in the same situation again but!

Vera Nice shows up hunting. Close by. I ran out to her and of course died a few times but finally I lived long enough to aks her if she could help me out and so she did! Wow.:yay: I dont think she knows how much that meant to me.

And i got my first vtol from Beanie Bug Adamski. Think he is the most helpful guy Ive met in this game. :D

I think this stands out for me as one of the nicest things someone has done for me (probably last place though :p).

Last night, I was quading a lot of loot (seriously) from caly to ark... and micjack was there. We had a conversation at SS, and I admitted I had loot, and then he just said, "your good Justin" and he left :). And to my surprise, I was able to quad away ... yay :D.

There were couple players who's name i don't remember, coming up to me and handing out freebies when i was day one noob.
Since then i try to do that when i can afford or have some items i don't need,

I had a great mentor Sky Cloud Evermore who answered every question of mine, took me on hunts and tp runs and even helped out when i was low on peds. To bad he quit years ago :(
When i joined i only know how to say hi and some basic stuff in english, a soc member Rick helped me with english and we were sitting in old PA sometimes for 5-6 hours chating and teaching me. He also left EU years ago, starting to feel old now.

The event that sealed my fate in this game was when i got stuck at one outpost trying to get out for hours. Frederic Laroque from Paris appeared there with some folks hunting and he offered to escort me back to a teleport.
I was so happy to be back to civilization.

Now i try to repay that back to the community.

I've only been in the game a few weeks, but I'd like to thank Rowdoc and the other Calypso Settlers. They've accepted me, taken me under their wing, and been very patient with my noobish questions.

Last weekend, I mentioned my curiosity about the other planets. Rowdoc, without hesitation, offered to take me to wherever I wanted to go. He spent his time, fuel, and PED for reentry on me without asking anything in return.

To a poor noob, that's pretty awesome
