This event is a race for newcomers to show us how they have grown as citizens of Calypso. Global Alliance Guard is dedicated to helping newcomers learn the ways of Calypso and this race will allow newcomers an opportunity to obtain a TP to the Southeast of Port Atlantis while having a chance to obtain some prizes as well.

OVER 2000 ped in prizes!!!

This Race starts at Port Atlantis, stretching through two outposts, guiding the racers to Fort Troy. Each racer is required to pass each outpost on their way to Fort Troy. All the racers will have to dodge and evade mobs as they race to ensure getting the best time possible. The first racer to reach me (Raven Raven Valicur) at Fort Troy will win! Don't get discouraged there are multiple prizes outside first place.

The March on Troy will be open to any new citizen of calypso that has an agility of 30 or lower. No exceptions! ALL racers will be scanned at start of event to ensure they all meet this criteria.

NO Teleport Chips are allowed to be used during the event at any time.

If a racer just so happens to get off track, is killed and revives at the outpost west of
Fort Troy, an escort will be there to ensure a trip back to safety. But in order to continue with the race, the racer will be escorted to the second outpost on the route and will have to finish race from there. However, this should not happen as the race was designed to avoid that area of the island.

To ensure fair competition all racers are required to follow the path as best as possible.

Participants are not allowed outside help to clear away mobs along the route; they may shoot them and kill them themselves but cannot be aided by someone else. This is to ensure some difficulty in the race, allowing agility to not be the sole deciding factor.

Revive Jumping is purposely aggro'ing a mob after passing a revive line so you revive further ahead at the revive terminal at the nearest outpost.


This rule must be taken into mind however, not abused, anyone caught "revive jumping" will be disqualified from the race. And I will have people on patrol watching for racers cheating with TP chips or "revive jumping". However, don't get discouraged, dying is allowed until second outpost and no penalties will be dealt unless caught purposely "revive jumping".

The biggest Rule of the race is that the run from second outpost to Fort Troy MUST be done without dying. Any racer reviving at Fort Troy will be disqualified from the race, NO Exceptions to this. Mobs along route are spread out enough to make it easy to avoid them.

After the race there will be an award ceremony at the Mansion Just North of the Treasure Island teleporter. The ceremony will have music in the pool area provided by Jamhot Jamhot DaddyO and JamhotTY/Records. Outside the initial 7 places, random prizes will be handed out randomly so dont miss the ceremony :)


These Prizes are in forms of peds, armor, cloths, etc and here is the break down of total prize value for each position finished. All ped values are rounded TT values of prizes not just ped

I know Raven has put in a huge effort to get this event happening and a big +rep to him for his efforts. Events like this can really give a boost to new players.

Great race idea...and I think it might've been a helluva lot more fun(ny) to have the route go directly through from Nooblantis to Fort Troy...imagine the feasting spiders and Atroxes chewing up the green dots like Pac-Man... :laugh:

Hi.

I make a little minutes ago the race's route.

I have agility 51, so time is not valid for participants in event (about 43 min).
But i see wich mob can be found if you try direct route to 1st and 2nd outpost and after Troy.

You have lot time until May 3. If you are beware not pass agility 30, you can make route and try wich way is better for evade more difficult mob and wich you can kill, and have all race points in your map before start race.

If you have agility 30 or very close, perhaps a nice socmate can help you making route and pass you exact coordinates and other information.

Coordinates in first event post are more exact than coordinates in entropia ingame map.

I think, as real life races, is posible make training before real race.

I agree that training would be helpful--but only in the form of knowing where to run to avoid hills or mountains as much as possible, without changing direction. But you'll never know what mobs will be spawned on the day of the race, nor exactly where they'll be or how many. ;)
 
This is gonna be one hell of an event..... a real dont miss for all you under 30 agilty, just think of the peds u could win :eek: :eek: beats sweating ;)

Cool event, i'm sure this will kick a lot of newcomers in the right direction! +rep

I recently did something similar in another game. Our guild made level 1 characters and were supposed to run from one point to another, and there was high level mobs aggroing like angry troxes. Took over 2 hours to get to the finish line, died about 1940135 times :D Loads of fun.
