Question: tier up for less skills ?

Can someone confirm or shoot down the fact that the very act of doing a Tier-upgrade on an
UL weapon reduces the skill gains from that weapon even though all the Tier slots are empty?

If you are camping a mob with an UL weapon you will see your skill gains decrease if you do a tier-upgrade on that weapon

Never heard this theory before, but I highly doubt it would make a difference

From what I know you get skills based on how much you spend..using damage-enhancer will speed up your skillgain, only way to get "lesser" skillgain would be to use eco-enhancers ill guess ? (but are not sure how it works that way).
