I was wondering if my calculation of total number of known missions on calypso is correct:
  • 14 Gateway - N/A for some as gateway is restricted to newcomers only
  • 82 Token missions from new islands
  • 245 Iron missions
  • 9 Bronze missions
  • 143 Permanent calypso
  • 4 Calypso choice missions (might have them or might not have them done)
    answer.length = "short";
    Atonement
    Contact Fujiko Takida ISO
    Report to mr Book
  • 1 Calypso N/A mission
Dialogue with Anna - This mission is not available anymore but its objectives have been turned into the two missions Reset the cameras & Patrol the camp
  • 14 Calypso temporary mission (there are more likely, but not sure which)
    Crossroads: Fort Medusa
    Crossroads: Port Atlantis
    Crossroads: Twin Peaks
    Facing the enemy
    Helloween Mayhem
Merry Mayhem 2010 (this is wrongly named 2011 in the log)
    Merry Mayhem 2011
    Merry Mayhem 2012 Solo
    Merry Mayhem 2012 Team
    Merry Mayhem 2013 Solo
    Merry Mayhem 2013 Team
    The Belly of the Beast
    The Federal Empire Strikes Back!
    The Spanner in the Works

So total = 512 missions?

Update - list of missions available @ gdocs

Update - suggestions to MA on how to improve:
  • Split the gateway missions from Calypso
  • Revoke the missions that are not available for everyone
  • Categorize (for example, as in spreadsheet)
  • Fix the sorting. I mean if your sorting can not be reproduced in Excel, it's wrong
  • Mayhem 2011 and 2011 looks weird

Thre are more junk missions on those islands that will forever remain locked until they fix the bug preventing their completion and activation. As for the total, seems kinda low as I have 268 and literally pages open. I will have a look next time I login (which could be a while since Skyrim is so awesome)

Added the goki broken mission, missing more? And a bump.

There are 124 Irons and 6 Bronze.

What about the temp missions that some of us never got to do :(

Same with the damned gateway missions.
I would propose to Kim (MA) that they categorize the missions (like "Iron"/"Bronze"/"Token"/"Temp"/"Gateway"). The mission log is a mess for those of us who try to keep track.
And imho, throw out the stupid achievement system or give some rewards (maybe tokens) for getting them. Its not working way more often than it is, and it has no gain on completion. For the moment it's just an annoyance.
But I guess the chances are slim anyone from MA will actually read this :D

I totally agree, it's difficult to keep track. :scratch2:

Maybe they could arrange it along the lines of the Runescape missions... Where all available missions can be seen in red colour and completed ones are green colour with, as suggested above, the different types of missions under a different subheading.

Daily missions do not increase total count.
And there is more than 310 missions.
312 done and more 7 i think are waiting in my book.

Thanks for the input Dan. Now I am curious on what those 9 missions are. Temporary? We should compare the lists.

Where did you put 'Understanding the Teleporter'?
As that mission starts at the Gateway, I do think there are 15 Gateway missions.

Understanding the Teleporter
3 Understanding Hunting, Mining, Crafting
4 Hunting lessons
2 Crafting lessons
3 Mining lessons
The Veteran's Tale
The Collector of Fragments
totals 15

But on the other hand... I don't know if people starting on other islands also get the Understanding the Teleporter missing when they arrive on Calypso... anyone?

It's 14 because you can get understanding the teleporter on calypso even if you have never been to gateway. I.e. I have it completed and I have never been to gateway.

Thanks Dan. I was able to find out some missions which I have to complete yet, and (unfortunately) some I won't be able to complete. The total count is now up to 321 (Dan missed Merry Mayhem 2010).
Will try to make a complete list soon.

Actually another question - where do you get the mission "Boat trip"?

035. Dizi's Fight Club Ticket
072. Investigate contents of a crate
308. answer.lenght = "short";

I do not have these, RX-483 won't talk to me anymore, and Dizi just wants to know if I've finished the scip/sumi missions, so these seem to be based on choices you make.

Two I have that Dan does not are "Setting things straight" and "Tap into Genesis Star Communications". These were based on choices.

There was one quest mission where you had to go to outpost S of oil rig and get mission to kill 100 snables in one hour to get ticket or get ticket in an alternative way ( Dizi ). If you had iron on scip or sumima done you got ticket without killing 100 snables in a hour. Maybe you shud just enter in Chung hideout fight club arena ( shinkiba wawe ) to get that mission. Dont remember lol.

  • same here for RX-483 "short answer", can't get it
  • "Tap into Genesis Star Communications" is alternative for "Investigate contents of a crate"
  • Dizi's Fight Club Ticket is an alternative how to get the ticked, guess if you don't use the alternative it's gone for good (I just got it today).
  • "Setting things straight" is a mystery - which mission chain did give it?
  • Another thing, I can't get "Stolen goods" token mission - maybe choice based as well or just a bug.

I will guess and say these two are related when you acquire Fujiyaka's laptop mission i.e. betray/assist Book or Lynden

It's 14 because you can get understanding the teleporter on calypso even if you have never been to gateway. I.e. I have it completed and I have never been to gateway.

Ok. Thanks. Sounds logical.

Exactly, that is the 'Jezebel's Hunt Challenge' to hunt 100 exa or snables. And Dan, you have both (also Dizi's Fight Club Ticket). The way to get both missions is to accept Jezebel's first, kill those 100 snables/exas within 60 mins and don't turn the mission in just yet. Go to Dizi first and get the ticket. Than turn in Jezebel's mission.

Interesting, I will try to find out and put it in a 'walktrough' guide.

Very nice list of missions, thanks :yay:

In Dan's list, is 280. The belly of the beast a duplicate of 259 or is another one with the same name?

Two different missions.

Description:

259 Coloner Briers is realy worried about the intel, and he needs some more details.
Investigate the factory and find the crucial details.

280 The top of the mountain is destroyed. Go there to see if there are a way to get in.

Update the list, with most recent information. 512 known missions? I'm sure there are more by now.

Some missions you had a choice of one or the other (like the Mr Book one and something else), no one will get both.

The Gateway was available to everyone for some time in the past, if you missed it you missed it. I don't know if there are newer missions there now that we can't get, but why does it matter?

Yes, some were here temporarily, you get them when they are there or you don't.

Just because you missed stuff doesn't mean it should be deleted.

Nice work on the spreadsheet though.

Gtitsn, all of the new daily missions count as unique completions, I don't think any of those have been added to pedia yet but we have most of them accounted for here in the forums.
