Unlucky Avatar?

I find that when my "luck is bad" I am happier if I don't engage in the chancey activities (like big mob hunting trips) and stick to safer activities that I enjoy and that when my "luck is good" then it's a great time to go doing the chancey stuff.

This way my peds go slowly up, not quickly down and I am happier all the time.

Seriously, drop down to an opalo a101 - it hurts initially and you have to adjust your playing style but it makes your ped card seem a little healthier even after a loss.

I was hunting cauda the other night, I looted two goblin harnesses with foot guards (now up to 5 footguards looted since implementation) and a punisher mkII and even though they're near tt it helped raise my spirits because it wasn't another load of oils which to be honest is what most of us get from any mob now. Plus there was the 4 turp skins I looted last week

A global from a noob mob is a lot more satisfying than one from atrox even if it's only for comedy value.

Simply - I occassionally hunt them but it is not worth to spend hours and hours of boredom to profit a few PED. I don't like bots in PE as whole.

2 All: So I have tried Ambu and Kingfishers more, a few not so bad runs (90% return) but next ones crap as usually, 200 to 300 PED loss on run. I am going to be out of PED so I hunt Feff now. They don't pay so bad I have to say! But it's boring. I think I gonna be bored soon and I might deposit so I can hunt bigger mobs again .

Know what you mean. 5hours for 1kped run on them just burning some looted cb19 can be very dull. Broke even after markup though. Just got to last through the boring periods. Maybe reward yourself by hunting something stupid and not care about the cost (within reason). I like SEG and globster, sometimes oss and malc to hunt for fun We're allowed to have fun you know

How long was your mining run? i get bored after 500 bombs lol and I know it should be double that. 200 bombs takes me 3.5hrs

Me neither rofl I just happen to be level 21 miner level 20 prospector I've played it a lot safer though my risk was just a bunch of OA-101's for almost TT. The reason i said 1k bombs is because that's the ped i will go through in 2hrs hunting with a nub LR or HG.....mining is a very slow way for me to lose ped the irony was i got a small maff hof mining and it more than made up for the run (I specifically don't wear armor either so I'm not tempted to hunt anything.... still i go through 100ped ammo or more while 'not hunting' Couldn't resist the chomp OA )

I dunno how bad was your luck but I ensure you that it will change sooner or later . But this your hunting experience is more than interesting, lol.

my luck works different way.. its like soc mates are draining my loots so they can get those 1k+ loots all the time.. thats why i left my old soc.. made a new one... took only few players on to it.. had ok loot for awhile even got my first solo hunting hof of 1300ped and then my brother pulled the 17k uber from esto and after that my pedcards been sucked faster than ever.. maybe soc has own lootpool too.. im starting to believe that too.. and some players have better access to that pool than others..

my advice hunt with newbs in team, i can't ever get a solo hof never have in 5 years of playing but ever HOF i've gotten i've been in team with someone with lower skills then me.

A new member of the ED soc got a 13k Zinc hof 3 days after starting mining, near PA using the tt finder. Gratz to him, I know EU is dynamic but sometimes I think MA is stretching that excuse to breaking point.

My biggest ever find is still about 60ped of lyst after 2 1/2 years.

I agree about hunting with noobs, some of my biggest loots have been when escorting on tp runs. It may have something to do with the total skills on a team and giving better loots when a team kills somethig way above normal for that skill level. It would certainly explain my increasingly (or should that be decreasingly) finds on hunts and mining runs.

yeah i can do well over 1kped streaks without a single hunt globals.. to regen mobs i see some ppl hof from every kill..

i could say its avatar based.. thru my lvl47 laser hit ive shot my biggest solo hunt global been 292ped and only hof 245ped...

and best teams been 13k krelt, 1k esto, 470ped phasm..

and i hunt 80% on solo..

ive been mining lately coz that proff allows me to get hofs sometimes too.. but now after unlocking MS my deposit finding stopped like to the wall

lvl30 prosp and tk320 and i cant find shit.. its bullshit


if i happen to get 1 profit run on hunting i can say that next 10 run will be minus.. and when i - i get maybe 50% of the wasted ammo back.. so its nothing like -5ped or something

2 All: I did one more deposit and tried a few longer (600 PED ammo) runs with Apis and luckily I profited overall finally. Not much but I did . I am interested how it will continue for me in the future. Perhaps some cool crazy 10k+ uber HoF .

Anyway, back on topic. Many believe loot is a very personal matter. I myself am not a lucky hunter, in the sense that I never got anything bigger than 2.3k: however I am an efficient hunter and my average loot is on the + side since a long time now, just split over minis and small globals.

Regarding dry spells ... well they exist and became harder and longer the more my avatar became skilled. It happens me quite routinely to go through 2000+ peds with no globals, and when it happens it really sucks (I recently had a new record in this respect, with 2350 peds going through my hunts without globals. And no, I don't hunt snables ). When this happens I just stop for a bit and do something else, possibly out of game.

I've always taken out pretty close to what I"ve put in. Since my start date, I have profited. I'm still probably 2 to 3 K usd ahead..... but I was depositing pretty hard core. I know there are a million people that will argue with me... but I've always found that the more I deposit, the more I seem to hit. I hit my best stuff at the peak of my depositing, when I was dropping in 100 or so bucks a week. by this time, however, my skills weren't too shabby. I still consider myself one of the "lucky" ones, though which is why I chipped and left when I did. I'm super eco since my return and I'm skilling slowly but not spending money. I've dropped in 200 bucks since I've came back (months and months ago, and 100 of it was buying a full set of 5b's, mind you) and I'm still pretty much playing on the same 20 bucks that I put in about 2 months ago. I"m just waiting for that big hit (which based on my past experiences, I don't really expect). Good luck to you though... as I said these are my own personal observations and I have, of course, nothing to back them.

yes.. we even got 1 hof of 450ped and around 10 globals on that run.. but still -700 for both me and my brother.. but ofc my brother crafted some springs and went to solo few aurlis and turned it to profit... while i was licking my wounds and tried to get some loot while soloing em..

while we were hunting there.. there was some few players who pretty much globalled from every small aurli they killed.. while me and my bro couldnt even get a global from those small aurlis even tho we killed em 4 times faster than the guys who got globals from every mob.. this game is pretty sick.. unbalanced as hell

few days ago i borrowed my bros unl riker ul3 to give it a shot.. and few runs i made with it ended up profit or even... after that last profit run where i did a whuuppiduuduu 180ped profit.. MA noticed the error and since that every run been -150+ped.. its just ridicilous.. im changing my style.. target.. weapons.. all the time... first it seems they work but then i come back to earth and same shit continues.. ive tried camping some mobs also.. but like my 3 month esto camp ended... a 3+ dudes came to my area (it aint very popular hunting place) to kill few estos and all left the place with their brand new UNL riker ul3... while my best loot was.. hmm 240ped on a 3 month camp

..I really can't explain it. I mean you really must be blacklisted or something... but if you know all this, why do you still keep playing? You could really save a lot if you just got out what you have left, found a real job and not let this game loot you anymore.

According to your signature you are not so unlucky.. also i think you have got an ATH in team with Cat ? ... dunno but i think that unlucky means something different than 3 big hofs and an ATH in a team

it was 13k.. not an ath.. and that 6.5k from that loot lasted 3 weeks.. and when u can easily lose a 1k ped in a day without crafting or doing any oa-107 mining... those kinda loots dont last...

And it could be that MA has you categorized, based upon your play and deposit habits, in the 'give him squat' category. The category they assign to people who are economic masochists... continuing to spend, even when they get nothing back . OK, I am not serious about this. (but what if it was true? we will never know )
