Wallpaper in newOxford apartments...

wow, porn in virtual wallpaper.... Now I have seen EVERYTHING! :rofl:

Not to be prudish but comeon, if they were gonna do it why not do it properly. or even have some other wallpaper in there with modern patterns or something, rather than that :p

Agreed. They could have ripped the basic 'pattern' sets from windows 3.1 and then *not* pay some artist all of our loot.

They could have even made it a joke, "reknowed artist 'Fohr Warkgroups' designed all the wallpapers."

GET IT? FOR WORKGROUPS. ahhhhhhhhhh.. :dunce:

But seriously, then each apartment owner would have at least 10 designs to choose from. Not some jerkoff scribbles. [literally.]

I am just wondering if there was some official presentation where the "artist" was showing off these patterns in some boardroom full of suits at MA HQ.

Everyone was looking at them, and seeing p0rn, but they were afraid to say anything because they were too politically correct to bring it up in fear they would offend someone else at the company or the artist.

So everyone was saying oh, how wonderful it looks :laugh: Then after the meeting, someone was talking to their friend at the water cooler, "Hey, did you see that wall paper ? Did it look like sex to you? Yeah, but I didn't want to say anything. Ok great, I thought it was just me." then they said, "Hey lets not say anything and see if they really use it, that would be a laugh :laugh:
 
Well, I just hope they use #4 in the background of the next Wired article.

Im going to ask for a refund, he can have his apartment back

Personally I would love to be able to use the paint I loot to recolour the walls of my apartment, brighten the place up a bit ;) Either that or be able to create my own wallpapers.

I was coming to the forum to start a thread about this lol. Glad I checked first. There are a couple other interesting wallpapers not posted on here yet. I think it is some funny stuff and I would gladly have lesbian wallpaper, also happy that I am not a complete pervert like the fiancee tells me I am. Others see it to :D
 
I think it's funny, but also kinda lame. As others have said, how much was this artist paid for a wallpaper design commonly seen in public restrooms?

The other thing I'd like to know is: between this and the painting (which Dash now uses as his forum avitar) why is it that our in-game avatars are not able to get naked?
 
Perhaps MA is trying to test our creativity this way. We know swearing is not allowed, and will get you into trouble.

However, I doubt anyone could nail you for "WALLPAPER 3 YOU, YOU WALLPAPER 3-ing WALLPAPER 4" :D

I have graduated an art highschool and now some things about art.

I think the "pig" collection of Mark Demuro is really nice, he has a message, a meaning and it`s quality art. Reminds me of Hieronymus Bosch
[Netherlandish Northern Renaissance Painter, ca.1450-1516].Those who say it`s crap don`t really understand art. But the fastfood art of Mark Kostabi I don` t fancy :D

Maybe if you talk to the artist and get his perspective on his idea, you would find its not just "Pig Art"......


Maybe some of yous should visit an actual IRL gallery and spew your pre-pubesent comments there.....then again, youd acually have to use your "voices" and probably would keep the comments, to thoughts?

So is that what you would like ... a virtual world with porn-looking wallpaper, art that exploits and degrades women, and maybe sex orgies? :rolleyes: If you have the current issue of Wired magazine, then you can go to page 126 and find options with games that create anatomically correct characters and give you the kind of emotes you're looking for ... thought I'd help out. :tongue2:

If it`s art, that It can`t be porn. Those are mutually exclusive :D
Romans used to have statues of penises and dicks in the market square and that was art. We have a problem with understanding that depicting human body or parts of it is something natural. If these works offend you Mindstar please look at the painting of the swiss artist H.R Giger www.hrgiger.com. And believe me that is quality art. He got the Oscar for the alien design in Alien movie series. I think that means something for some of you ppl :D

How come?

IMO porn is a form of art - like any video/graphical entertainment. Very money driven and not too innotive or sophisticated but still...

I havent looked through all pics and wall papers there but so far I havent seen anything too bad. This "hardon" wallpaper prolly is ment to be some kind of a lily or such. But people tend to see what they would like to see :silly2:

However I dont think its impossible at all that it will be changed in next VU.

Maybe the problem is we all spend way to much time ingame killing mobs so pr0n is the first thing that comes in mind seeing these wallpapers! :D

Edit: I don´t really care about the wallpapers but i do think that people should get the choice if they want these pr0n ones or basic stuff in their apartments..

buy an apartement at genesis or TI for 450 ped with "normal" wallpaper or one at 1050 ped at new oxford with porn on wall ....
