Basically this thread is for some of you people that want to share their experience with getting payed back

As I understood I cannot email support with questions about the loot so Im hoping to get some knoledge from others experience:)

Here it goes:

Been playing this game for a year, pretty hardcore about 6-8 hours a days most of the days ( except those that I am really broke IRL or have something important to do)

Started playing in march 2011, deposited from the first days and mostly every 2-3 days in the beggining, 10-30 USD per depo, one day I've depoed 300 USD by mistake ( was thinking to peds) and then killed mostly levi with hl8+A104, after few days bang it hit me, 8K HOF, at the momment I was overall down with about 700 USD so I can say that the system payed me back then.

At that time I was lvl 33 (HIT), some said that after I unlock serendipity something good will come, and it did, right so for the first time the system payed me back when I was down 700 USD and reached level (33 HIT)

Based on this prof level theory I started few month later to think thet something good wil come at lvl 50 ( let;s say) after I unlock Combat Sense and Wounding, but none did, I then started to think maybe it somehow sum( money) related, like I was to lose about 2K USD or so untill I will get my second HOF but nothing happened so far and I am almost 3K USD down

Not sure what to think anymore, if the game has some mechanics that will bring me to 0 if I reach some level, money lost ammount, new unlock? I realy am starting to think that the game has no such mechanics and if you push the limits the limits wil just increase.

I am a very addicted player and strugle hard when I am unable to play or don't have money.
Started this game with the winning idea in my mind, but after some month I realized that this wasn't going to happen, now I am just thinking how can I play this game in such a manner that I won't go to minus 5K USD

My mainly proffesion is hunting, I've done some mining but not that much, so let's keep it with hunting

My request to you is to let me/us know when was the momment that the system rewarded you based on skill level, activity done, overall losses bla bla
I'm trying to figure out if there a hope for me or not:)
I know many people here as sensitive about these information but I think it will help a lot of players if they know the hope can come one day if they reached surtain level/losses and such

I feel like only spending spending spending with no hope can depress you sometimes

What I can also say is that the system has some way of rewarding you for short periods of time, like when I did the trox and allo 10K mission I have only lost 1K peds, I was always using the ASI-30 Desert+Beast and runs of 500 peds when posibile, and my return varied from -1500K Peds to +1500K Peds, so doing the exact thing over and over does seem to keep you some P/L schema

Maybe when you reach a certain ammount in depositing the system kicks in and pays you out a portion to keep you interested:dance:Or maybe its just stupid luck :scratch2:Ive been very lucky and when ive had that luck its come when i was using knowledge i learned from years of hunting.Ive hunted the same mob for days "in the same spot" and its payed off but ive lost several times big doing it as well.When im losing big i think its because they want me to quit:eyecrazy:Sometimes i think its rigged and sometimes i think its just luck and sometimes i think the games loot bank is just empty but i think mostly it can be bad luck because the game is too big and the rewards are spread out to thin but the chance to lose is grand.But one thing i know for sure is that its to expensive to play period!
 
Im experiencing exactly the same as you (op) . Just over a longer period . I remember a nice loot pretty much bang on serendipity unlock . nothing since to even remotely bring me back to + (LOL ineed a ath) i unlocked cs several months ago still waiting, still the deposits go in hours . Ive never had any loot over 1.5k .
 
I hit my hof shortly after the previous robot war. The one where you got extra skills. The war ended and I had a few hundred ped left over, so I headed over to nea's to hunt those critters over there. (Can't recall their name)

Bang I hit my hof! 1600 ped.

I danced around for awhile and that was that.

I did nothing unusual except deposit a hundred bucks for the robot war....
 
Incredible skilling there.. march 2011.. your skill rate is insane from my perspective.
My guess is when you go so hard you fall harder too.

That is one of my tought as well:) I think they don't like people pushing over the limits:) and right now I don't play very smart, have my last 2K peds and I am hunting levi:)) with the hope that if the time comes at least I can get a big one ( don't expect ATH from trox)
 
I can confirm that, minus 4k$ in 3 months since maxed the blp sniper.

I've had 4 avatars over the years.
The account I deposited the most on was also the account with the largest losses and uber loots were small'ish (1k-4k PED).
My current account has had my largest ever loot (8.xK PED argo) and at the time when it hit, I had deposited maybe $100 total at that time and was around lvl14.
My first account had no deposits at all and I hit no ubers, though I did hit many HoF's and profited around $300 (I transferred the assets to my second account a long with (eventually) skills.

From my perspective, it seems apparent that losses are the only constant in EU and large(r) loots are very similar to jackpots on slot machines in the way that they are triggered. You're either lucky, or you're not in which case you pay the jackpots along with everyone else.

Don't depo what you can't or don't want to lose. Even if you can, don't depo if you have an alternative.

You get skills as a % of turnover. Skills affect what you can do and how efficiently, I have so far seen no direct relation from skills / prof levels to loot. Same for any unlocks.

Oh, and I think you are doing rather well big loots wise.
 
I know Girts but another thing that come to equation here is the dmg you do or cost/shot:) you smilgs have insane of that

I have lost the last 1,5K USD with average 60 DPS, I guess this goes exponential for higher

What I don;t like here is loosing 1 1K Peds depo in 1day shooting with ASI-30 Desert+Beast at trox

Or after loosing that a firiend lended me 2K peds and I managed to lose almost half at levi with just 2 X1s

There should be some downs and ups based on avg damage or something, it;s not natural to lose so much money with only 50-60 DPS, hell, this means that if you hunt above argonauts you are likely to lose 1K ped per day if you play for 10 hours, even though the next day you win 800 back it still hurts because many players don;t have the required peds to play the next day

Or if I have 1400 peds, I buy 1 full X1 and do runs of 900 peds ammo with full beast, if I get back with 50% first time and second time, I then cannot afford to buy another X1 and have to go to trox or something where the chances for me to get back what I;ve lost are not the same

And the strange part here is that I really don't do much stuff than hunting ,and also don't spend much MU on that, I rarely hunt in taxed areas, in short I don't play dumb and still losing way to much in my opinion

Oh, forgot the most sour part of this game, and that is, you keep on loosing 3-4 days and then the good period comes but it only last for 1 hour? It would have been good to make it more balanced

So use less dps.

Above argonauts? This is just garbage.

This simply means you have insufficient budget for X1.
 
My advice :get used to it.
For most of us the ATH wont come, I already lost more than biggest ATH here, so, it's highly unlikely I'll get something back to come close to an acceptable lose.

Chasing the ATH would only get you down(99% of cases), if you read the news in the Dev post#1 MA clearly tells you that the Key, to make profits, in the game is speculation.

Try to understand the word and you'll understand the game.
 
I;m not completetly dumb, I know there are separate ways to get profit, watch the market and be trader or chase any new opportunity ingame BUT....

I think you all agree that the most entertaining part of this game is that bloody HOF effect:) and I like to have fun in this game, I work IRL, I don't want to work here either, just want to spin the wheel, and lose some, win some, my problem with this is that I lose way to much before I get some

I want to be able to have a HOF everyday ( not necesarily big) and don't loose 1k ped a day. I don't expect to make profit, but also don't expect to go broke in 2 monts and be down 1K USD

I mean, what kind of game is this? I for sure don;t know another one that is so expensive to have fun ( not to play, there is a difference) here, free to play in EU means free to waste time, to have fun in EU is the shit, and that is way to expensive IMO
 
I've depo'd around 8k US. My big score was 4k US.

If you want to be happier, treat it like a casino, not a regular RPG.

Gamble what you're willing to lose, stick to your budget, don't chase.
 
ok explain this.

Pulled down my Monday dividends peds, in total had about 570 peds on my card

bought a VI fire chip (72 ped ish) and part LR41 (say 130 peds)

Went out on sumima 3 -5 mobs into the hunt ..bang 67 pedder.

instantly 5 seconds after that global "Norton" flashes up with warning "high usage from entopia universe"....MA turned me off for the rest of evening. either that or they set me on a DPS for the fire chip, but I was using LR41 once that L chip burned. Think I managed to pull another 55 pedder on a scip.

So MA can balance you and unbalance you, with the flick of a switch.

I promised myself to use deeds income and one $100 depo per month moving forard, I did my years of big deposits.

Just stick to a budget and one day maybe "just maybe" MA might leave you alone. I find trying to train the system to accept a set level of peds don't work....but worth a shot.

It's ok to treat it like a regular pen and paper rpg. In those, there is never an end game. The Game Master just gives you more difficult obstacles to overcome as your character progresses. In the case of the Real Cash Economy, that means things get progressively more expensive as you progress, so yes, it is a bit like a casino... but also like a pen and paper rpg. It is NOT like a regular video game rpg though.
 
As long as there will be players who dont care about losses and who are still depositing like crazy, despite 70 - 80 % returns ... nothing will change. It will get only worst and worst ( last right click nerf for example).

Actuall loot status, low markup ... especially in hunting (where most of addicted players belongs) is clearly becuase of hunter themselves.
Same as OP here. He is losing, hoping for the big one, depositing, counting loses and then again, losing more and more, untill he quit.
OP will leave, but characteristical "behavior of hunter" will stay.
MA just did adjust loot to hunter´s behaviour.
Its you who is "guilty" for your loot.
And no whinning, no complaining, no bad words towards MA, will change it.
It is your fault, dear hunters
Your passivity and your addiction.
