As a preface I came back to playing in early 2020, but I started playing in 2004 with a long break. I went all over the place trying to keep my max professional standing down due to mayhem category rules. Now that they have changed mayhem I feel like logical thing to do is max out a profession. I think some advice will be to trim down and focus on unlocks. I try to stick to $400/month replenishment (loss) for ammo/repair budget, but sometimes go up. If assume 5% loss ( I don't track game for fun not more spreadsheets) that would be 80k ped cycle month. I try to keep about 20k ped for repairs and short notice equipment buys with a 3k ped ammo supply that I top off weekly. I don't consider gear purchases as part of that, but that is rough idea of my play budget.

I feel like I am in a no mans land for gear upgrade other than maybe ring changes. I know getting a plasma better than my current would be a choice, but not much available. Big ticket upgrades that maybe some advice could be given on would be the arson fen chip or switching to a 2.0 weapon..

On larger mobs they regen more than I would like so more dps or hunting down is probably in order.

Any advice on what gear if any could benefit me at this point?

My hp is 224 and +18 from ring so 232 total. Other attributes: Stam 103, Int 101, Psyche 93, Str 91, Agility 91. Have meta codex at 351.

Updated with progress and changes. Still no suggestions so maybe I am just stuck in this rut until I hit pro level 70? I think I notice loot getting slightly better with my looter professions going up.

Considering doing the Viceroy Modified armor to get 1% crit chance and maybe picking up some of the new plates that give block chance over this next year.

When not in events I focus on clearing small mobs off the codex list I just take them from 0 to repeat, and then move on to next. Also have about 30 pets I cycle training while hunting for pet handler skilling in case they ever do anything cool with that.

I Would sell all the 1.0 stuff and rings and Get a 80% or so effi weapon. It impacts Your tt directly so imo its the most important tool for a hunter.

I’d sell everything you have listed and get a 2.0 gun.
Then rebuild the rest over time(depending on budgets)

I’d be interested in the cryo 8 chip 😀

I totally agree with the above, you have loads of weapons in the 56% area, all worth 500- 6k each.

sell all those guns, swords and MF equipment and buy a decent 70-85% weapon. stick with one proffession at a time and focus on it, you will see it pay off % wise, you can use Entropia Tally to get a better view and keep that 400$ going a bit longer.

@Art Jennifer I just recently upgraded to the 8 and have a cryo 7 tier 5.25 (i think) that I am selling).

So on wiki the > 80% eff weapons that I have skills for mostly do less dps than my current gear. It looks like 2 I could aim for would be the A&P Series Mayhem LR-60, Augmented and the Genesis Power Claw Mk. 6, FEN Edition for SIB or go old school A-3 Justifier Mk. 2, Improved.

Since I don't have experience with the high eff % how would the old Justifier do at roughly 60 pro standing? I think I would prefer to stay ranged as main so the Power Claw is probably out.

If I sum up selling all my non armor that would be roughly 123k ped and if I kept my fap, rings, & scanner that would be about 87k ped as a starting budget. The LR-60 Augmented looks to go for around 150k ped

Stick with maxed gear. Also dps isn’t everything but to low limits what you can hunt efficient ofc. I would sacrifice som dps to extra 20% effi any day tho.

I recently upgraded to the [A&P Series Mayhem LR-60, Augmented] I really like it. Good efficiency, good DPS, good range, good reload. I wish it had more TT value, I run a P25 extender on mine which solves this issue.

Another great option is the new [Camo Arms BGH]. It shoots a little slow, but the damage is very high so it doesn't really matter. You could probably find one for about 50k

I see a few more options in the 70% efficiency range how big of a difference is there from 70 to 80?

You can think of Efficiency like Looter Profession Levels, except for weapons. Every 10% gives 0.7% more TT.

I think every 14% efficiency or so could technically be 1% extra tt back.

0.7% tt. Quite significant in the long run.

Efficiency accounts for 7% of our overall loot, and it is linear. 0-10 offers the same benefit as 90-100. So every 10 levels of efficiency is worth 0.70% increase in returns. Now while it will add up, you are not at the level yet where you are cycling enough to where that extra 10% efficiency is going to make or break your runs. DPP and getting more oils and markup items instead of shrapnel is more important and will have a greater impact on your gameplay.

I run a rental service and have a wide variety of weapons and other gear. Take a look and see if there is anything on their that interests you. I have a lot of low-mid level loot 1.0 weapons that are high tier, and except for when you make a search on the wiki will you see multiple weapons lined up with the information you are seeking liked dps, eff, dpp, range, all in one spot.

Good luck, I hope I was helpful!!

At .7% from 70 to 80% on 80k cycle an extra 560 ped of cycle or 28 ped extra of my 4k ped monthly ammo top off depo.

But going from my roughly 60% gear (with attachments) to 80% gear would be 1.4% and double those numbers. So in a year 6720 ped extra cycle or 336 of depo.

The ammo/repairs I don't feel like are my limiting factor, but time is. That being said who doesn't want to get more bang for their ped in profession progression or spending less ped to get same results..

Thanks for clarifying the eff % on returns.

Your service shows my problem too there are not many options to go from about 40 to around 65 in professions. On top of the old mayhem style causing me to balance my professions I also kind of did it incase they ever made a weapon for this gap in a profession (back when my lvls were lower).

You do have an x5 that I have kind of been thinking about (one was/is) for sale, but my skills are still a little short. The eco on it is only 50% though and everyone has told me to skip it. Any input on it?

If I were you, I'd start with a goal in game.

Then sell anything not related to the goal. Looks like you have a lot of gear that it doesn't make sense for you to use.
Overall, 1.0 has taken a bunch of flak, but it does do ok over the long term (-1% return or so with larger swings). way cheaper, so for more causal for fun players, it's not bad.

I always compare value of 2.0 vs 1.0 by cost difference, and PED received in dividends if invested into deeds.

You can sell a bunch of stuff, exchange for deeds, play with 1 or 2 main weapon, sell rest. Get free PED from deed + your 4k monthly deposit to take u further
Or go for 2.0
Or craft, need way less bank roll than 2.0. Easy to start now.
Or Mine, a little boring, but always made money.

etc etc. lots of advice, but really depends on your goal.

Its not a bad pistol, as stated it only has 50% EFF but that can be buffed with amps to mid 50's which is about average. You however already have an ep 41 adj, so use that until you can get to the x5, then switch back down to the enigma l4, as it has lower overhead and higher efficiency on your way to bigger pistols. The x5 can cycle more ped faster and gain you more skill a lot quicker than the l4, but whether the extra costs outweighs the benefits of speed given your limited playtime is up to you. There are other options out there as well, I just don't have them listed on my service.

I think withdrawing and investing in real world world net greater return than deeds.

id say look into upgrading your plates that is literally like doubling your armor, some 5bs or scales
could also look into a mod resto as they are literally at there lowest cost ever.....
and i do agree - if your gonna make a push a nice new 2.0 weapon end game and work your way into it
(set a goal for it, pop some 100% skill pills and go after it!) you'd amazed how fast you can skill if its your goal!

@image zz thanks for the bump I had forgot about this thread. I will work on updating tonight, but some quick highlights are I have upgraded to Camo BGH from Spirit and SR51, got an x5, and resto improved from adj. Also moved to a dragon breath sword and Mace mk 5 to use with Mayhem 1 amp.

Going to a mod resto from imp seems like overkill at my level especially with lifesteal? The imp made a big difference hunting in the ascension.

I have thought about some bigger plates from my basic ones.

Other items on my goal list as upcoming upgrades are a predator and slugstorm. Would like a sulfury, but only know of 1 that didn't seem worth the cost difference from Dragon Breath.

Also on the deed front IRL returns were 20% this year.

those new arkadia swords are nice!, and definetly look into upgrading plates you can even farm them yourself if it keeps ya busy=)

Updated first post with profession progress, attributes, and current equipment.

Made big push to get all the highest mindforce chips before the special ones and have the skills to use them over the last year. Then I went on for the skill unlocks just need intuition now, but I think I am switching back to my main profession of blp sniper to move on to next goal of using slugstorm to upgrade from x5.

Upgraded my main setup of spirit mk 2 TEN and SR51 to Camo BGH and Emik X5 with some new pets. Several of my skilling weapons I upgraded too as skill progressed. Probably my favorite of these is the combat mace 5 with Mayhem Trauma 1 amp makes some nasty lifesteal.

The M83 predator also looks like a good stop on my way to lvl 100 weapons, but it would require skilling up my laser more which would take away progress towards slugstorm.
