So where would one buy a whip? I have seen them in Auction for like 300ped, and frankly I am not that ritch. When I click on them it says they are a mentor item, does that mean I need to mentor someone? (never had a mentor myself...)

Mentor item means that you can get one when succesfully finish mentoring someone, as an free item, but you must be very lucky, I think

There will be whips that are crafted as well. We can just hope that they will not be too expensive!
