Freeze up crashes mid action, every time I have tried to play.
This will sound petty, but why 'ornate' context menus?
'Ornate' = not focused upon the purely functional = irrelevant and distracting
==> implication that "MA's mind" is not on the job
Pop-ups should be clean and clear - LESS to visually take in, not more. Ornate context menus demonstrate clearly that someone influential has no idea what is important. Please don't fix things which are not broken, and please don't make changes which detract from what has been achieved thus far. No doubt the eye will adjust. Why should it have to, and why did someone put energy into this when there are actually useful things that could be done? My concern is not really the menus, but what it says about the focus and philosophy.
I am sympathetic to glitches when improvements are intended, but I cannot yet praise, for I freeze up and crash after a minute or two of action.
PS: And now I find the sound of laser pistols has been annoyingly changed. Why? Was it broken? Was it no good? Are they attempting verisimilitude with that extra (and incredibly annoying) metallic click? Really? Verisimilitude? Do they think they are closing in on a sound impression of reality with these unnecessary tweaks? Are they kidding? I have to listen to this sound over and over and over - why, oh why, make it annoying?
[It is a LASER gun - there are NO MOVING PARTS. Why try to simulate moving parts with a new sound. Please, please please, MA, stop being annoying.]
This is not just fixing things which are not broken, this is going that extra yard to make the game less playable! What is going on?
