Ultrawide resolution

Hey all , I was just googling about ultrawide resolutions in EU and result's were 2015

Recently just purchasing a g9 oddysey awaiting delivery I am curious to what resolution I can run entropia at , I know in the past it used to be restricted to few , and from memory you had to edit the config file ?

Runs fine on a 3440x1440 reso but that g9 is super ultrawide so maby you do need to mess around

I run on 5120x1440 fullscreen and that works good. But 2560x1440 windowed does not work and that's a shame.

Never tried, but that actually works!
You have to change the setting-ce.cfg file a bit for that.

Well, in your \Entropia Universe\public_users_data folder there is a file settings-ce.cfg
Open the file with a text editor

Change following parameters:
r_HeightWin = 1440
r_WidthWin = 2560
r_Fullscreen = 0

Save file.
Start Entropia. Could be that you have to switch to windowed from within the game, but the 1440*2560 was saved in my case.

Write protect the file settings-ce.cfg, since every start of the client loader overwrites the file settings-ce.cfg.

I run at 5120 x 1440 on my Samsung curved. Works a treat.

Create a backup copy of your settings-ce.cfg
Write-protect your backup (be fool proof for your own safety)


1) Open settings-ce.cfg
2) Find the following lines [my settings (4K resolution), insert your resolution values]:

r_Height = 2160
r_HeightWin = 2132

r_Width = 3840
r_WidthWin = 3834

r_Fullscreen = 1
r_WindowedFullscreen = 1

3) Save the file with your new values before closing the settings-ce.cfg file!
4) Now write-protect your settings-ce.cfg file
5) Launch Client Loader and log in
6) Ingame in this order go to
Options > Graphics Advanced > Advanced Resolution Mode [ yes ]
Apply
Options > Graphics > Fullscreen Resolution > Auto
Options > Graphics > Fullscreen > [ yes ]
Apply > OK


It is quite possible, that Step 6) has to be made once as your first step.

Could mention for everyone if anyone gets a uwd and wonders. This will fix the issue where the default ingame resolution makes you look like a very THICC wide person

manually setting the config files resolution makes sure that nothing looks wonky and gets weird looking and makes it work perfectly fine
