Afternoon,

Just wanted some input for you guys. I attempted to login to my account but was met by a peculiar notice indicating that my account was locked. 18 year old account. Never once was the account locked.

I decided to sent in a support ticket assuming that the account is just administratively locked and thought nothing of it, hoping for a typical account unlocking. Now my last login was maybe a few weeks ago at this point. Nothing was out of the ordinary during that login. I've never used any sort of VPN service in my life nor do I have the skill set to change my computer credentials that would otherwise caused this. I am not entirely what to do next. Any ideas?

Thank you for your support case.

Your account has not been locked, you attempted to connect with banned computer credentials.
This could be due to you changing or spoofing your computer credentials via VPN.

Take care and best of luck.

Kind regards,

This support message is not very clear.

"Computer credentials" usually means a username/password plus additional security measures. However, in this context, I suspect the support team means a "computer fingerprint." A fingerprint can include the CPU, IP address, and other identifiers.

Try getting a new IP address. Turning off your router for 1-2 hours might help.

Additionally, try logging in from a different computer.

I personally have to play through VPN at all times in recent years and have no problems at all, so the problem must be deeper than that.

MAC/IP change only solution it seems
