I think we all suffer from the problem of looting items that have such a low TT+ value that it's often not worth the effort of trying to sell them.
In the end we just TT them.
Pixi armour is very nice to loot when you are a noob, and I remember when I finally looted a full Goblin set....

Do you think it would be a good idea if MA added a feature to the auction that allowed the seller to pay a sales tax on the + part of the sale, rather than the fixed 1 ped fee?
That way you could try and sell some of the better, but other wise not worth auctioning items, with no risk of losing 1 ped if it did not sell.
If MA set the tax at 20%, any item that sold at TT+5 or over would be better off entered using the 1 ped fee, but items that normally sell for a very small mark up would be worth putting in auction.
If an item only sold at tt+0.9, It would go to someone who wanted/needed it, ma would make 18 pecs (instead of nothing), and I would have got an extra .72 peds. As it stands it just gets TT'd and no one benifits.
Good idea, or not?
