Is Auto Crafting working for you? I ask because it has been a non stop headache for me. Last Tuesday, after reading about this new innovation, I started my first Auto Craft pm Toulan. It was small, just 100 clicks of a texture, and I closed the window and went hunting.
When I came back (there had been no system message telling me it had completed), I saw an orange exclamation point next to the tab, so clicked and retrieved the fruits of my first attempt. A Window pops up telling me the results of 8 attempts on my BP.
I had a crafting mission and having read that Auto will not count, I went ahead and did that mission. When it completed I set up 5000+ clicks on an EP2 BP and got an error. It said something about 'could not execute' but flashed by too quick to fully read. The auto was not running so I clicked a second time and it said something like the needed materials were missing. I exited the craft window and reopened it and none of my EP BPs are showing as able to craft. After checking the website I find that my nanocubes and EP2 BP are gone. EP1, 3 and 4 were all there but 2 was not on the list. So opened a support case.
Later on I am on Arkadia and decide to try again, thinking maybe the Auto failed because I did another craft first. Started a new run and closed the window then checked after a few minutes. The orange exclamation point was there and once again it told me the status of having run 8 attempts.
Others I am talking to are having no problems but they reported having watch the first few clicks while I was closing the window on the first attempt. So I close and reopen the window and set up another run of several thousand Basic Servos and it errors... and my BP and mats are gone.
I then head to the underground and try another auto craft, this time watching it perform 10 attempts before walking away. After several minutes I check back and yet again it tells me there were 8 attempts and I had a 75% success rate (which I figured meant it took the results from however many attempts past 10 it go to and divided by 8)
I then update my support ticket and give up on crafting.
The next day I have a response telling me that everything was returned, and when I go to log in it looked like an update had happened overnight So I check my inventory and by Basic Servo BP and mats are in my inventory <YAY>, but no nanocubes. Figuring they went to storage since I was still on Arkadia and not Toulan I check the website but no nanocubes, no EP2 BP.
They had closed my ticket so I opened a new open referencing the closed one stating that I had not received everything back. Thinking the patch fixed things, I set up a new auto craft and again watched through 10 attempts before walking away. But again it said 8 attempts when I returned.
I updated my new ticket and waited. 3 days later I again updated my support ticket pointing out it had been 3 days and no response on my still missing BP and mats. On day 4 I decided to just stand there and watch the Auto run, so set up and watched as it completed 15 attempts and then nothing. Minutes went by and still 15/1000. There is no orange exclamation point though, so I exit the window and reopen and it's there, and again it tells me about my 8 attempts...
Tuesday arrives along with a patch <YAY>,,, log in and no mats <BOO> Figuring the server reboot has unstuck things I open the craft window and lo and behold there is an orange exclamation point and the retrieve button is highlighted. I am able to get my Basic Sensor BP and mats back. So I set up a new run of 30 clicks and watch... 15 clicks and nothing. Close window, reopen, click and get window talking about 8 attempts. <SIGH> I have a QR1 BP of Basic Sensors so I set up a small 30 click auto run and get an error...
But wait!!! I received a system message! When I check it it tells me the results of the 15 clicks. Ok so that is working. When I open the window and go to auto, I get a pop-up with the same info on 15 clicks. And the retrieve button is highlit again, so I click it and get my QR1 and mats back.
So, I set up another 30 click run and it stops after 15 clicks... wash rinse repeat and I get a system message and everything back.
Headed to Toulan and was able to also retrieve my mats and BP there. So I can now auto craft <YAY> but only for 15 clicks at a time <BOO>
So far I have not run into anyone I know in game having these issues with Auto Crafting, so I ask here... Does the Auto Craft work for you?
