The Mystery
of the
Boorum

As many colonists have read on the EBN news, a new unique species of creature was discovered under the Hjorten Building in our City of Culture, New Oxford. Despite the Calypsian Minister of Culture Cuggy Barl's displeasure at the new arrival, the easily identifiable male of the Boorum species had come out of hiding and took up residence in the caves. So much so, that it spurred an influx of hunters to the caves who were driven by their own curiosity as to what types of challenges this new creature might present, not to mention the gossip about its anatomical endowment. Some days after their first appearance, hunter numbers had started to dwindle due to the irregular spawn intervals, as well as hours of waiting for more of the species to arrive.

All seemed quiet for a few days, but then ...

The female of the species arrived, and upon hearing the news, large gatherings of eager hunters have once again taken up position in the caves. Some simply hopeful of catching a glimpse of the new female arrival, while others are hopeful in winning a trophy from a successful hunt.

Both sexes of the Boorum appear to be physically well endowed, with high strength levels. And though perhaps not among the most dangerous creatures on the planet, they can certainly hold their own against many an experienced hunter. I am disappointed to report that not all hunters have been so sucessful in their efforts to terminate this invader of the deep penetrating caves however.

[wrap=left]https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/gallery/files/6/7/2/5/boorumfem1_767056.jpg[/wrap]Perhaps the strangest thing of all, even with the females now joining their male counterparts, is the irregular appearance of the Boorum - disappearing for up to a day at a time. One would wonder what might possess the powers that be to encourage groups of experienced hunters to gather in dark caves and chat rather than continue in their quests to rid the planet of the dangerous creatures roaming free on the surface. Many hope that perhaps if any body parts drop, DNA samplings might be used to introduce clones of this fearsome creature on the surface in a controlled land area.

Whatever provoked this species to come out of hiding is unknown, but it appears that their well-endowed physical structure has caused a flurry of chatter amongst the colonists, and there is no short supply of curiosity and wonderment as to where this adventure will take us next ...

Well done Pinky, this was indeed a very well written article. It shows that you are a very talented writer, and I do know that it took you some time to finish it. So, plus rep, and keep up the good work. :)

Sorry im afraid i agree with plandon here! Its just nature, nothing that should be censored imo.

While the article is about one thing, the thread takes a different turn...

An interesting debate indeed....

Not that any one persons view really means anything.... personally I could give a shit...

I always have issues when people attempt to limit free speach because 'the children may see it'. I am a Father of 4. For someone to cry foul on such little bullshit is just fucking crazy.

Like the above poster said, god forbid they should go out and see horses dick...

A picture of a 'well endowed' mob is not innapropriate, it's called 'life'

EDIT: I'm just wondering why viagra type ads aren't showing for this thread...

Great job as always Pinky :) Keep up the good work.... C ya out there...

*hug*

There is one creature that takes on a sign of a male phallic symbol...
The snarksnot.

What appears to be two "penis like" heads attached to one oversized scrotum!

Anyway, great article Pinky! :D

Nice word play "cave penetration" hehe. And I see myself in the picture dancing.
I do agree that very random spawns are annoying, they are a great mob to hunt and seem to be the only mob that drops an (L) BLP rifle, so more of them would be nice.

Entropia is becoming X rated.

It looks like a small feffoid with a penis..

I can't imagine the MA Concepts meeting on this one:

Exec 1: I have an idea for a new mob.
Exec 2: Yeah, whats that?
Exec 1: Well its kinda embarassing, i had this dream..
Exec 2: yeah, go on..
Exec 1: ahh no, forget it.. its a stupid idea.
Exec 2: no go on..
Exec 1: OK, you take a feff right..
Exec 2: yeah..
Exec 1: shrink it..
Exec 2: yeah..
Exec 1: and add a penis.
Exec 2: you dreamt about that?
Exec 1: umm no.
Exec 2: It's fucking brilliant, thats the new VU mob sorted.. ok next item on the agenda...

Good article but IMHO should NOT be on the front page. It is inappropriate for many young visiters to this site.

I respectfully disagree with you. Any child able to open up a web page to see this picture is more than aware of the difference between boys and girls. I would bet all my EFD they had also seen pictures of IRL "willies" too even in school.

Do you really believe that what equates to a cartoon will damage them in some way? Sure they might point and laugh - thats what kids do, but will they be damaged by this picture?

My little girl is three years old, she has seen it and explained to me what it is. Do you think this has done any damage to her? IMHO the people who keep there children shielded from nudity and (in later years) sex do more harm than good - besides, they see it all in school these days anyway ;)

I am glad i didnt use the picture of the Boorum bedroom now :D

Pinky, my respects to you for being a... Hm, the best words would probably be "unorthodox and liberal" mum. :)
I believe that children shouldn't be 100% sheltered from the reality; I mean, if my (not-yet-existant) barely able to speak kiddo asks me about some uncomfortable topic, such as death (Granny gone to heaven anyone?) or this, I'm going to answer in a way the kid would be able to comprehend, but with the facts intact.
Okay, this is probably just a random rant, but I'm happy that I'm not the only one semi- adult with a similar opinion. +Rep to Pinky for being a good, understanding mum. :)

That is your opinion, but do you have the right to impose your opinion on those who disagree with you? When someone opens up EFs website, you are taking away their right to choose whether to access your post or not without any warnings.

Like I have said in previous posts, EF is a public place and this kind of material should not belong in public places. Put a door with a warning on it and all will be well, as it will be up to the user to open it or not.

You say that your 3 year old daughter is fine with it, but say when it is time for her to start grade school and you visit 2 potential schools for her to attend. In one, you find posters of dogs, horses, and other natural or imaginary animals with their penises centered posted all over the place; the other school does not. Which school do you send your daughter to?

This is an exaggeration of course but I hope you see my point: just because something is natural doesn't mean it should be commonplace. When a dog poops, we clean up after it after all, so others don't step in it.

sorry for stepping in like this but i just have one question:

whats worse? that people look at them, or that people shoot and kill them?

imo if you dont want your kids to see the boorum they shouldnt experience this "game" at all. i would say its far more worse to run around killing stuff (with a penis or not) rather than seeing something that can be considered sexual.

its virtual, so i dont mind the killing. its not real. and its important to have a clear view of whats real or not. i wouldnt run around all day killing animals, mutants or people irl, and believe me i would freak if i saw a boorum like this in my basement.

this is what it is. either you like it or you dont.
if you dont like it you can complain, hope for a change and accept whatever the outcome is, or just simply stay away.

IMO EU is not a game for minors. This is pure entertainment for the mature population. If people are afraid of showing a creature of pure fiction to their children then try to prevent them. If our children are able to find EF, I'm afraid there is a slight possibility that they are able to find websites with worse content than this one..

First off, I'm no prude but I also dont want to see a big grey penis displayed on the homepage.
I visit Ef when I cant log onto Pe which is normally for a few minutes a day when I'm at work. We all received emails regarding viewing sexual context at work, I dont have a problem with visiting Ef at work in the past, but what would happen now if my supperiors do decide to check my internet history.
They'l get a picture of a HUGE GREY PRICK, I thank u for that!!!!!!!

Do they know this is a game? No, will they see the funny side, NO, they'll see a huge grey cock

Again, thank u for that

the boorum is a part of the universe that MA created. if you dont like the boorum you should file a supportcase and tell them you dont like it. i would be very disappointed if this forum started to censor unedited ingame material.

i hope you dont mind 44fox, i have got to use that line in my sig

Besides, if the US media gets a whiff of boorums, some (bad) publicity will probably arise as it is a part of american culture to point out politically incorrect indecencies in media.

This just shows that american culture and european culture have some differenses, at least publicly ;)
