There are not enough item sinks in this game. Take a look at the auction. Type in Animal. 47 pages of oils, animal hide, etc... There's no demand. Zero. MU is trash and it's difficult to turn over items in this game. Zero buyers. All mobs have the same drop table. They drop oils, hides, and once in a while some components. How is this fun?

There's gotta be something done. Simple solution - Gotta make use of these materials. Crafting alone is not the answer. Take a look at sweet stuff and fruit. Great example with pets. Fruit is now worth something. It's a great idea.

Please MA, help us out here. This sucks.

Nanocubes were a good idea but were implemented horribly. There are 14 pages of these things with ZERO MU. There's no demand. All supply in the world.

Maybe MA should decrease the droprate on the low tt oils, the amount of units you get even hunting low lvl mobs is insane.

The problem stems back to the "Balancing Manager" position. If MA had an active balancing manager or one that knew what he was doing you would not have tier comps at 800% and oils at 100.20%. It all comes back to the Balancing Manager adjusting the system in subtle ways, controlling the supply and demand to complement the player base. A long time ago the system was more balanced and right now the system is really out of wack to say the least.

Nanocubes helped a lot until rocktropia added them back to the tt for a few weeks...
few weeks??? I'm not positive but wasn't it a long time but only reported recently?

The game is very simple...
2 supply professions, and one demanding.

the cycle closes with "mining amlificators" and "armatrix weapons and weapons amps".

in low demand markets too many "box mayhem amplificators" are entering in the game and at some MU level they are more interesting than armatrix

miining amp market is mostly D-Class that has a formula not including oils.

you focus on oils but crafting is seriously in danger too
Simple 1 components have an "opportunity cost" of (tt+MU input) /0.95 ... considering MU at 0 (oils at tt value) craft basis value is 105.26
considering BASELINE at 98% according to 2017 data of total return averages ont he system it is 100/98% = 102.04 that is the "baseline inactivity price" for crafting.

at these MU level it is VERY BETTER to get shrapnels back than oils, being the Shraps 101% value that is ABOVE ACTUAL NANOCUBES

as per Sinking yes it is an opportunity but what for?
we see a "self buff npc" in RDI where you put in some resources, get TT back and get some power for a limited time.
that is MU sinking and get back stats like an "advanced TT" that adds some BUFF to the TT value of sale. might be a way to feel some better if that machine would be available outside but would damage higher stats players that see a newcomer have same power with no TT loss to skill up

i would rework items upgrade missions for ALL existing UL weapons, as part of TWEN Event,
like converting melee from decay to ammo items, with a reasonable items sink.
i think that having an ammo archon sword with like 5k oils sink is a bargain price in term of quality of life
and 20k for a fen 6 mace or genesis claw would be aswell

sadly that would sink max some millions of PED, that are at most weekly oil production

maybe a "stats" turn in? actually 1 ped of anatomy cost me about 1.27 ped and purchasing via ESI would be 13 ped or so... turning in 10 ped oil to pick 1 ped tt in any skill could be interesting... i think at some xenobiology, or crafting or mining or hunting side skills.....

also bringing game return to 99% and dropping 95% of shrapnels could be an idea.... less loot more shoot

+1. Agreed on the item sinks.
Recommend missions where a lot of trash loots are turned in for something cool.
For example:
- permanent pet upgrades
- more weapon amps (especially big melee amps)
- pills
- SHRAPNEL

Im not sure how long it lasted this time but when they made Nanocube change you still could change ammo bought in tt to nanocubes inside hunt the thing instance terminals ;)
