What is Leadership within Supremacy Reign?





Leaders are ordinary people who accept or are placed under extraordinary circumstances that bring forth their latent potential, producing a character that inspires the confidence and trust of others. True leadership is born out of a guiding vision and a PASSION to accomplish a noble task, and to inspire others to develop and release their potential. It derives its fulfillment from the success of others. Good leadership involves responsibility to the welfare of the group. Some people will get angry with your actions and decisions. It's inevitable, if you’re honorable. Some of the challenges of being a leader are: Rejection, Criticism, Loneliness, Pressure and Perplexity, Mental and Physical fatigue, Price paid by those Closest to you. One of the most common costs of leadership is the experience of rejection. If you are willing to accept the call to leadership, at times, you may be rejected and misunderstood. No leader is exempt! The very nature of effective leadership involves taking a position on issues, making decisions, and determining direction. These will always result in some form of reaction from ones environment. Leadership, at times, is lonely, because you must be out front, ahead of the followers. Also, because the leader is the one with the guiding vision and purpose, he/she sees the end from the beginning and must live both the process and destination, all at the same time. Leaders must face the challenge of the responsibilities and demands that come with leadership. These involve the need to make critical decisions, often under constraints and external pressure. Leadership places heavy demands on the individual who fills the position. There is no way to become an effective leader and not be affected by its stress, physical demands and mental toll. You must be aware of the tremendous cost which will be born by those closest to you (ex. family members). Because leadership demands the giving of oneself to others, your life becomes the property of those whom YOU SERVE.

Being the leader of Supremacy Reign, or in anything for that matter, is a tough job and not suited for everyone. It comes with a lot of baggage. It involves endless working hours, enormous stress, creates problems in your personal life, you name it! You have a personal bond with your people which you just can't let go of.

Being a leader however, means sharing the responsibility of working towards a common goal. This means you have to let go of trying to do everything on your own, no matter how hard it is, otherwise you will drive yourself to the grave. By "let go" I mean delegate responsibilities. Let others do things under your instructions and your watchful eye.

I will quote two great men whose words should be taken seriously by anyone anticipating on becoming a leader:

"Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it" D. D. Eisenhower

"The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it" Theodore Roosevelt


After 3 years of building Supremacy Reign with help from all it's people and making it a SUCCESS, this is exactly what we have done. It has not been easy, but was something that just had to be done. This is where a leader shows his true colors. Finding the right people and being able to motivate them to maximize the Society. Finding the right people however, is not easy. I believe those that are in place within our society have strong leadership abilities and continue to guide our society towards our Vision and Goals.

OUR VISION: One of being an interactive society that builds a Reputation that stands on Honor, Valor, Integrity and Strength.

OUR GOALS: Having fun, Skill Development, Organize Group Hunts and Activities. These are listed in the Society info on the Soc Terminal. Also listed in the Society Requirements and Expectations thread.

Being simply a leader is not good enough. You have to be a great leader in order to maximize the success of the society. What makes a great leader? Remember, that no one wants a dictator as a Leader. You must praise your staff for their good work. You must be civilized and offer advice and suggestions in a professional manner. If they do something wrong. Let them know how to do it right. Blowing your head off at them will only make them dislike you and the Society.

Also, you must not treat your people as servants. By doing so you will make them despise you. You must treat them as equals. Ask for their opinions and follow them when they are right. This will lead to a positive working environment.

As a leader, you must ensure that everything in the Society is running smoothly. See if the people under you are happy, if anything is bothering them, if they are other things to worry about, do try your best to help. It will be worth it in the long term. Though I know I've tried to talk personal issues with people I do respect their privacy if they do not wish to share it. It is hard when those personal issues come to surface; sometimes it is unexpected and has confusing results.

To be a leader you must have passion, authenticity, integrity, and ethics. It involves knowing who you are and what you want at the deepest level. Share your knowledge, for once you step down from your position, it will be those that you shared your knowledge with that will take over. It will be them that determine the future of what you started. Teach our members everything they need to know about EU. There is no greater gift than to give those you lead the chance to acquire your wisdom.

Just because you may be the leader, does not mean you know everything. Being a leader also means being a learner. For as long as you live, you will be learning new things everyday you may have more experience in your area of expertise but never take it for granted that you know everything. Every new day brings a new experience. You must be willing to learn new things even if they do happen to come from people under you.

Supremacy's Policy on Global Cultural Diversity​

One of our Societies core values is to have a membership that is diverse and involved. We value the skills, strengths and perspectives of our diverse members. We strive to foster a participatory environment that enables people to get involved in making decisions about their role that advance our common objectives. That’s more than mere words. We know that diversity gives us a competitive advantage. Supremacy Reign is a society with nearly 90 people from over 10 Countries. Still, we must do more than assume that diversity will simply come to us because of our size and global reach. To the contrary, Supremacy Reign spends a great deal of time and effort to become more diverse at all levels of our organizations. We want to get the most from our diversity. We want people to think and act differently with greater creativity. Those attributes are required in an increasingly complex and demanding environment that EU has become. So when we say there is truly strength in diversity, we mean it.

We must understand that our view of the world is but one of many…. That others see things in other ways. Diversity is about us – each and every one of us. The point is not that there are differences. The point is whether we can learn from those differences. The point is not that there are varying viewpoints, but whether we can recognize and respond to those varying viewpoints.

The true test of diversity within an organization … or across a whole society… is whether people build upon their differences… or whether they are divided by them. Part of the greatness of Supremacy Reign is contained in the motto “ E Pluribus Unum” – out of many, one.

Why is diversity important to Supremacy Reign

We can accomplish much more if we are able to bring varied viewpoints and experience to the Society. This will allow us to come up with the innovative solutions we need to be competitive in the EU environment. We also want to become the Society of choice. We must be able to offer present and future member the advantages of a creative, harmonious, and inclusive Society. This will allow us to attract talent, improve and increase our presence in the EU environment.


Why is diversity important to the members

When we work toward a diverse society in which everyone is included and respected, we all benefit. Members get more supportive leadership, better potential for advancement, and Events aimed at their Avatars Development. Members who feel that their viewpoints and contributions are valued are more productive and more reliable and take pride in their Society. That makes Supremacy Reign a better place for all of us.

The Four goals of the strategy:

Goal One: Enable the Society to attract, develop and retain a skilled and motivated diverse global membership to achieve the Societies objectives.

Goal Two: Create and maintain international integrated infrastructures that promote and ensure successful compliance to Global Diversity.

Goal Three: Promote a culture that encourages personal development and growth in an inclusive environment that maximizes each individual’s contributions to Supremacy Reign.

Recognition



No doubt, these are challenging times we are living through—in EU, in our homes, in the world in general. It’s hard to be positive and encouraging under these circumstances. Now, more than ever, people need something to feel good about!

Supremacy Reign continues to experience challenges as well. Members are asked to give more of themselves for the success of their society. Morale—how members feel about their society can always use a big boost!

What motivates people? What makes them satisfied with their Society? Being in the TOP 50? Not really. We admit that Members require and expect meaningful compensation for their time but is that what really makes them feel valued? Study after study has shown that compensation and benefits usually rank behind the desire for respect, acknowledgement of individual contributions and efforts, opportunity for growth and advancement, ability to participate in decisions affecting their society are the key motivators in overall satisfaction.

Sounds like a large order to fill—but not really. Simple recognition is a powerful tool to acknowledge members accomplishments, skills and abilities. The most effective form of recognition today is still a sincere “Thank YOU”. An honest and personal expression of appreciation leaves a long-lasting impression.

Recognition is intangible—it may or may not accompany a reward. Recognition is the act of acknowledging, approving or appreciating an activity or service. Recognition is getting a little attention for work well done. It’s being noticed as an individual and a contributor. Again, survey after survey tells us that people want specific, day to day recognition for their efforts. That’s what’s makes them feel valued! Recognition is a powerful tool-use it often!

SR Pride Awards offers 4 different levels of awards, with escalating point values, to thank and congradulate members and non-SR members for a job well done. This program is intended for acknowledgement of accomplishments not related to actual job function or performance. Member achievement is to be recognized fairly and consistently. The accomplishment must be verifiable and the award criteria applied consistently. Accomplishments are to be above or apart from the regular expectation of the recipient or the result of an extraordinary level of performance. Each award level is designed to honor different and unique achievements. Continue on to find out more about our award levels and criteria. Also included is a guidance on award eligibility and requirements.






SR Pride Award Levels are:

Certificate of Appreciation (100 SR Pride points)
Certificate of Accomplishment (500 SR Pride points)
Certificate of Achievement (1000 SR Pride points)
Society Member of the Month (1500 SR Pride points)



Certificate of Appreciation

Certificate of Appreciation lets you thanks people who go beyond assigned duties to get a job done. SR members who earn a Certificate of Appreciation receive a 100 SR Pride points redeemable for EFD’s for use at the Entropia Forum’s Store. Non-SR members who earn a Certificate of Appreciation will receive only the Certificate of Appreciation without any SR Pride points. You would select the Certificate of Appreciation Award if your nominee demonstrates any of the following behaviors:

Goals:
Sets goals above normal expectations and meets them.

Initiative:
Streamlines existing process’s within the scope of responsibility.

Leadership:
Leads a team within the society to achieve a goal or completes an event.

Effectiveness:
Contributes measurably to the completion of an event.


Certificate of Accomplishment Award


The Accomplishment Award lets you acknowledge those whose efforts and activities have a positive impact on others, especially those outside their immediate Society. Individuals who earn and Accomplishment Award receive 500 SR Pride points redeemable for EFD’s for use at the Entropia Forum’s Store. You would select the Certificate of Appreciation Award if your nominee demonstrates any of the following behaviors:

Goals:
Actively helps the society meet goals by willingly taking additional responsibility.



Initiative:
Applies knowledge and skills to continuously improve processes with impact beyond our society.

Leadership:
Leads a cross functional team to complete an event.

Effectiveness:
Contributes measurably to the completion of a special event with impact across society borders.


Certificate of Achievement Award

Achievement Award lets you recognize people whose long-term accomplishments produce improvements. Those who earn an Achievement Award receive 1000 SR Pride points redeemable for EFD’s for use at the Entropia Forum’s Store. You would select the Certificate of Appreciation Award if your nominee demonstrates any of the following behaviors:

Goals:
Continuously surpassing goals, exceeding expectations on a consistent basis.

Initiative:
Successfully initiates and implements process’s which greatly increases effectiveness and efficiencies of our Society.

Leadership:
Continuously leads and mentors others by sharing Knowledge and skills to motivate them towards higher goals and performance.

Effectiveness:
Produces a significant implementation of a process improvement.



Society Member of the Month

Society Member of the Month Award lets you nominate a person who has made positive impact on the society. Those who earn a Society Member of the Month Award receive 1500 SR Pride points redeemable for EFD’s for use at the Entropia Forum’s Store. You would select the Society Member of the Month Award if your nominee demonstrates most of the following behaviors:


A combined focus of all the other awards.


Members may not nominate themselves. Nominators must be on active roster of SR for 1 month at the time of nomination. The Nomination will Require a Second Motion from a Society Member active on the roster for 1 month at the time of nomination to Affirm it. SR Pride Award (Certificate of Appreciation) can be provided to a Non-SR person only if receipt of the Recognition does not violate the internal policies and expectations for our Society.

You are asked to provide the award recipients full in game name, a brief justification of the award and wording for the certificate.

We strongly suggest you write a certificate that is original and from the heart. However, some of these sentences just might help you get over the hump and on your way to a rousing recognition certificate.

Supremacy Reign's Policy on Conduct

Each member of the SR is expected to follow the rules of conduct listed below. Members who can not follow these simple rules of conduct should be aware that they'll will be asked to leave the society or be removed. Generally speaking, there is really only one rule in SR, which is don’t hinder or interfere with the growth and development of the SR and its members.

General Rules of Conduct:

1. Never beg for money or items.
2. Do not continually whine or complain.
3. Be respectful to society members and Leadership
4. Don't do things that would cause people in the Entropia Universe to complain.
5. Don't lie, cheat, or steal from anyone in the Entropia Universe.
6. Conduct yourself in a way that will earn respect for you and for Supremacy Reign.
7. Report any misconduct to society leaders A.S.A.P.
8. Don't post internal society related information on an open public forum.
9. Do not express your frustrations about another SR member in the open forums for the whole Entropia Universe to see.
10. Never, ever criticize another SR member on a Public Forum or in the “All Chat” in game.
11. Generally have an optimistic attitude.
12. Don’t create or spread rumors that could potentially damage SR or its members.
13. Don’t engage other members in a personal argument in the society chat or in the forums, move the debate to some type of private chat or private message.
14. If you are unable to resolve a dispute, take the issue to a SR General/CEO if you both can no longer coexist.
15. Frivolous arguments such as "who’s country, religion, or politics are better" are not permitted in the society chat.
16. Swearing is allowed in the society chat as long as its not every other word or directed towards another member in a demeaning, hostile, or confrontational way. We have members of all ages, nationalities, races, and both genders. You should be aware of their potential sensitivities but at the same time SR is not a kindergarden... Just use good judgment.

About The Rules of Conduct
We have these rules because some people in the past have lacked the common sense to just understand not to do these types of things. We are here to play the game, not enforce rules. Rule infractions will be dealt with if it creates a problem for the society. We understand that if a rule is absolute then it is inherently unfair in some situations, which is why we handle things on a case-by-case basis. If you are a sane, rational, reasonable, and respectful individual then you wont have problems.



Conflict Resolution
If you encounter another member who is acting in a way that is unacceptable do not assume that you have the right to openly criticize them, you are not the SR police. If you do have a problem with another member you should send them a private message and try to resolve the issue with them. You should not approach them in a hostile manner because this will only create more problems and it will put you at fault as well. If a SR member is acting in a severely disruptive way, a Colonel does have the authority and capability to boot that person however, if the situation can wait then the issue should be deferred to a General.

Entropia Universe Forum Guidelines
The open forums can be a rough place, only post your opinion if you can handle criticism because you are certain to get it, especially if it is regarding a controversial topic. You are permitted to get into disputes, conflicts, and debates with non-SR members about non-SR things on the forum however if you take it too far and cross a certain line then you could risk your SR membership. Often times other forum members from other societies will demand that we boot a certain SR member because they upset someone. We will automatically side with the SR member as long as they aren’t too far out of line. Each matter brought to our attention will be handled on a case-by-case basis. You need to remember that the open forums each have their own rules and the people who own and run some of those forums take it seriously.



The Entropia Forum as a whole is a critical and vital tool to SR and it is also the central hub of the Entropia Universe. If you get yourself banned from the Entropia Forum there is nothing we can do to help you. In order to maximize your Entropia Universe experience, we highly recommend that you remain a member in good standing on the Entropia Forum, as a result, you should always treat others with respect.

Supremacy Reign is currently seeking new members at all levels.


Supremacy Reign is a tiered Society which includes: Supremacy Reign, Supremacy Reign Special Forces and Supremacy Reign Elite. We are primarily a skilled based hunting society which will participate in Land Grab. Many members also mine, heal, craft, tame, organize and run events, are Pilots, Shop Owners, Writers and Reporters, Artist (including, but not limited to music, painting, graphic Art, Radio, T.V. and Video) **Resellers are not welcomed** We enjoy EU for fun, friendship and pursuing a creative enterprise.

One must be:

1. Active and friendly
2. Financial able to take care of oneself.
3. Understand and communicate in English.
4. Be trustworthy (no scammers, beggars)


You will get:

1. A Strong organization with tight friends.
2. A Strong organization with direction.
3. Access to people with a wealth of knowledge.
4. Access to the Societies Private Forum here on Entropia Forum.
5. Access to our own dedicated Ventrilo server with Back up servers.

We are a Top 10 Society looking to you, to help the Society grow. We currently have Soc members from Norway, UK, Netherlands, Portugal, Finland, Slovenia, Canada, Romania, USA, Australia, and Sweden, Switzerland, Germany and growing Globally. We have most time zones covered so you will never feel alone.

It is very important to Supremacy Reign that we have members that we can rely on. This is also why we rarely recruit members even if they meet the qualifications. Once a new member has been recruited he or she has to go through a trial period which will last for 30 days. This trial period does not have any guidelines or instructions. It’s a period of getting to know who you are and a feeling for how you fit into Supremacy Reign.

Supremacy Reign Special Forces

This is the second part of the 3-tiered structure of Supremacy Reign which is working towards maintaining the top 30 most skilled society. Our mid society is where people develop into Uber Status.

Skill Requirement: 160k in total skills and 150 HP
(Total Attributes + Health. Do not include Stamina) = 360

Supremacy Reign Elite

This is the third part of the 3-tiered structure of Supremacy Reign which is working towards maintaining the top 10 most skilled society. We are the ones that over sees the Guiding vision and passion that inspire others to develop and release their potential. We derive our fulfillment from the success of our members. We are here to accomplish a noble task while caring for the families welfare.

Skill Requirement: 220k in total skills.
(Total Attributes + Health. Do not include Stamina) = 400
Gear reqs: Armor with + 110 total protection (Tiger or above) for hunting.
Hermes or above as a PK armor. Avatar should always maintain a PK armor.
Weapon with + 70 damage per sec weapon (without amp) for hunting.
LR 63 or above as a PK weapon. Avatar should always maintain a PK weapon.

Screenies of skills will be required with an accompanying interview with the candidate by a Colonel or above.
