Suggestion: Crafted unlimited gears

How about we get missions for gears, say you need to do a long mission chain of quest and then you unlock a BOUND limited blueprint with 100% success chance of crafting 1 said item. The blueprint should cost materials gathered from crafting, mining and hunting (makes regular stuff more attractive).

This way you can get your own unlimited gear.

In order to get more blueprints avalable, the community have to do certain stuff like kill big bosses x amount of times or complete x amount of instances in one month to unlock blueprints for everyone to use that month, when the month is over the blueprint is gone until its done again. Muliple missions and items can be active e very month. This brings ppl together to do events and stuff together to achive goals and more materials gets used to boost the economy. Ppl need to grind missions and crafting skills to craft your own gears (skill based game).

The thing im after is a change from todays token trader event hunting for ul gear, but to make the game more intersasctive .. to grind quests and to gather materials and skills to be able to achive your goals. Game has lost the essence of being a skill game in an active sence.

You can get unl gear on some corners of the universe upon doing hard mission chains but yeah more complexity would be fun for some, but for very few, most people can't be asked to do complex missions.
 
You mean like the Cyrene Mission chains?

i knew this would come up, but the thing is the game has loot that has very little use today and those missions we have today dont require hunting or mining loot in the scale of the population and therefore end up in TT machine most of the time, my suggestion makes more use of looted items but i guess most ppl just want a casino based game where you hunt and loot nano cubes that you tt in the end off the hunt and you hope you loot and unlimited item that is of any use (0.000001% chance) so yeap.
 
Yes it would be great to turn all my junk hides and extractors into a crafted LP-70 FEN.

in addition to the Cyrene ozypn chains that Dranie says, which I think are great for somebody who just wants to earn their own weapon via brute force (not that great of one, but a weapon), you forget there are lots of manufactured UL items already that use up items already. Take for example that cyrene armours, practically every planets unique armour plate, viceroy armour and upgrades. Omegaton laser amps, restoration chips, EMT faps. Cyrene fap. There’s actually alot of stuff out there to make yourself and lots of materials to waste on it.

Oh so you mean common items like the Restoration chip mission chain?
 
I am all for unlimited gear, crafted or otherwise but it would seem to make sense to me if there were some decent crafted sets available at all or most levels.
I still use Ghost for the most part, which is, of course crafted, however a new set of something better would certainly be nice, and if I could make it myself even better, would love that.

The crafting system is not caoable of producing 100% success chance, which is why MA created Mission rewards and Upgrade Missions which essentially fulfill the function you are asking for.

The blueprint should cost materials gathered from crafting, mining and hunting (makes regular stuff more attractive).

Most upgrade missions on Caly do require some sort of hunting loot, crafted component and mined material as inputs to perform the upgrade.

This way you can get your own unlimited gear.

We already can do that with the Mission rewards and Upgrade missions.

It's not really clear to me what you're trying to solve...

It already works that way. You want something that is different then token trader system; you want to be able to grind out your gear... That's what the token trader system is. So I think you need to think this through a little more and provide a better explanation of what you are trying to solve.
 
UL stuff make the MU of your loot lower :)
 
It's called farming tokens in mayhem, hoping for a rare and then handing it all in and "crafting" yourself a mayhem weapon!

and in that lies the problem, too much junk. Game needs to have a better circular thinking of items from loot to items. Either remove 90% of the loot we have today and add in less items from loot and make it easier to make stuff with items so things have a value and can be used and sold in the end to create markup for users of the platform.
 
Well stop hunting, start crafting.

If enough hunters go that way, MU on hunting loots (used for crafting) will go up, but MU for crafted goods will crash.

Its just a matter of supply and demand.

As a crafter you will be happy to get crafting materials for less than 101% MU, as the hunter you surely will be unhappy.

Its just an unfortunate side effect of the insane amount of cycling that occurs now. Think about anything that could be added to loot that crafters need - it’ll pretty much be nonstop hunted until its value drops to where everything else is now. The only things with high markup are rare and few and far like tier comps.

You can only have one or the other - rare/wave limited and higher MU, or common and farmed to worthlessness because people are able to cycle insane amounts nonstop.

So then….. in this scenario I would much rather have shrapnel fill my loot thats gaurenteed 101% rather than TT food garbage
