Question: Does plateholding still work?

As title says.

Plateholding = Using an armor that doesnt protect against the mob that you are shooting. Instead you are using the correct plates for the correct mob. This way, the plates take the damage but not the armor, and since plates are more eco than armor, Its more eco overall.

i dont see a reason it wouldnt..

Except that these days, plates aren't always more eco than some of the L armour that is available. Ideally I try to split protection 50/50 between plates and good (high durability) armour since decay is not a linear function of protection. And of course Entropedia's armour advisor is a very useful tool to check possible armour\plate combos.
