Entropia Universe nominated for Sweden's Best IT Product 2006!

MindArk are delighted to announce that the Entropia Universe has been nominated for Sweden's Best IT Product 2006. Established in 1996, the very prestigious "Golden Mouse" is awarded to people and companies that advance the Information Technology Industry in Sweden. Organized by publications such as Affärsvärlden (Business World) and Computer Sweden, the award also has the support of the Swedish Trade Council and Sweden's Leading White-Collar Union.

The jury motivated the nomination for "MindArk Entropia Universe" as follows:
(MindArk are) a game development group from Sweden that independently, have successfully developed, marketed and taken a leading position with circa 400,000 users from around the world. The Entropia Universe has entered the international market of virtual worlds, with its innovative real cash economy, where players use game money that can be exchanged for real crowns, pounds or dollars.

Can I ask what the criteria are? Have the people who nominated you actually played the [strikethrough]game[/strikethrough] universe?. Have they consulted with the consumers of the [strikethrough]game[/strikethrough] universe?

Is it ok to contact them and inform them about the 400k avas, that 90% of them are sweating and scamming avas?
And hey, did they test this product? did they use gold card?

Just wonder, cos if its only based of those 400k avas, then gratzzz for the lie, good one

The Golden Mouse award is given by two of Sweden's most prominent magazines, Affärsvärlen and Computer Sweden, in cooperation with IT-företagen, Invest in Sweden Agency and Comdex Scandinavia.

The Golden Mouse for Swedish IT Product of the Year is awarded to a product that is technologically advanced and has reached market success as well as received attention beyond the Swedish borders. It can be hardware, software, or a combination of both.

It is legit, and past recipients included Erikson and MySql (or something to do with it).

Gratz MA on the Publicity Hof....this one probably has more substance to it than others. ;)

This probably tells us that we EU players are accounting for a large part of the Swedish GDP ;) ....(it hurts!...make it stop!) ;)
 
So far...all I can find out is that you nominate companies for this award through the guldmusen.se website.

Currently, that site is down...at least to me.

I did send an email to one of the trade magazines behind the award, asking for details about the nomination process.

This will tell us how much meat there is on this bone ;)...and I do hope there is some.

If not... I want you all to know that I am nominating myself for a Nobel prize in Gaming....Autographs are available at $50 each... and signed photographs are $200.

if anyone can speak some svensk, you could try to search for info on other sites about it... I think the word in Svensk is "nominerade". ...but I cold be wrong, as that hasn't happened yet this year and we are already half way through it.
