gotta means 'got to', so title is little missleading :scratch2:

No it doesnt.

"Gotta" is English slang or bad English for "got a". You have been misinformed if you think its "go to".

Odd, my age is starting to show, I thought I already posted here.. :scratch2:

Usually I forget what Ive written, as opposed to forgetting to write

Gratz on the shop mate, will visit sometime :wtg:

Yes, it does.

Now, I gotta go.

It can and is used in BOTH applications by virtue of the fact that it doesnt actually have a specific meaning other than that the originator was trying to convey.... in this case "got a" (posessive) blah blah blah..

Gratz JamHot :D

You say potato I say potato

You say tomato I say tomato

So what did the title actually mislead you into believing exactly?

Yeah I gotta shop on CND and yeah I've gotta shop on CND! :silly:

Jamhot

P.S. I've still gotta shop on CND! :yay:

I say Spud !

:silly:

Your a common english northerner though Goody not some guy called pluu telling me how to speak/type the language that WE THE ENGLISH invented, the name of the language kinda gives it away huh 'ENGLISH' so i'll let you off Goody as you weren't correcting me in my own braggin thread.

I call em spuds miself :D

Jamhot

P.S. *kicks pluu in the shin!

'Spud' :scratch2:

Do they sell them at Marks n Sparks?

:silly2:

For a second there i thought u went on some crazy shopping spree or summit
I've always refered "gotta" as " got to "

Yes, it does.

Now, I gotta go.
Yup your dead right, but i was referring to "go to" not "got to" which is what i thought pluu was saying. Now i read it in the light of day i see that pluu was thinking "got to" which is of course used by many, but in the contex of the thread subject made little sense to someone that is not native english speaker. So my apologies to pluu, my apologies to you, my apologies to Jamhot, and apologies to anyone else who deserves and apology!!

English people may be hopeless at speaking their own language correctly, but we dont half know how to apologise about it!! :D
