"Jackpot" lootpool

Dear MA,

You have gold in your hand but you don't do enough, this game have so much potential though, if things get done.

This is my "silly" suggestions of the day :

Build a lootpool "jackpot" that is outside the % return of people, so we get exited to can hit something "special" out of our returns in hunting, mining, crafting.

You can build this lootpool with many many different things if you don't "greed" on it, have ambition and do some work.

Exemple : Skins of weapons are working good on other games (so why not here heh?) Sell box with skins rare & less rare for 1 month, then do other, keep 50% of profit let's say to pay the 1 employee doing it + win money, yeyy :yay: and inject the 50% in a special jackpot that people can "find" doing any of the professions. Do a special animation for these jackpot so we know won't impact on our return and be happy.

This was one silly exemple/idea among many, u can also add social things for jackpots that we would pay for, or about anything.

Start to make things that make us exited about "infinite" possibilities in here ! We need more then what it is in as content atm.

Point is to add more possible "event" and excitement, and make people want to play more in the same time :)

Doesn't ATH just come out of the normal loot pool?

OP wants an "extra" jackpot. Not a bad idea as it can be a nice incentive to play if it can be won with any click regardless of the size.

ATH are entitled to uber mobs but this jackpot should also be able to be won on small mobs/clicks (with a smaller chance of course)

to be able to hire a person doing this MA will need people to buy skins for around 160k a month, i dont think it will happen.


And do you want to get lower return to pay for this jackpot pool?
 
I think Mindark stated this with loot 2.0 that a bonus lootpool was added and it is the double shrapnel loot we get now. If I remember correctly they stated that this might include other items in the future and I believe it is being tested now and "triggered" only in small portions of 5-50 ped shrapnel depending on mob.

Although making these bonus loots huge (and calling them) "jackpots" is very risky, since this game is not considered a casino and it would get legal issues since Mindark do not pay gambling taxes in Sweden.
 
I think gambling/lottery laws prohibit this.
 
how about multiple mini lotteries/jackpots... sort of similar to the bat sim.... where there's an entry fee for the jackpot that makes up where the funds for it are coming from...

one jackpot would be just for those that bought webshop boxes... each purchase box adds one to your chances for that, and after a week they could add up the total and have winner(s) picked randomly...

one could be just for estate owners, perhaps one on each planet, or if it's at the level that the LA owners can control it, one for each LA/mall/town, etc.

one could be for each loot pool weekly... so one for crafting, one for mining, one for hunting...

perhaps do it with tokens in loot for the main professions... so some 'rare' item is put out there in each loot pool and you can either decide to keep that rare item or go turn it in to the npc for something else. I really liked the way that the povr items and xmas items that that system was copied from worked on Rocktropia. That type of system would work nicely for this type of thing.... especially if there's a sort of multiple 'what you can potentially get' type of side to it like there was with that... that sort of system would also be nice since MA could work it in to other holiday type events on each planet, and ultimately give a holiday type item quest type thing out for every holiday on the calander... perhaps making some interesting unique items as the goal for each session/holiday that the quest npc is reloaded.
