Question: Little help on figuring cost of weapon decay

I don't know why this is so hard for me but it is.
OK:
Just so I understand it takes 100 pec to make a ped, correct ?
If that is so then see if this is correct:
My pistol decay is .14 pec so 10 shots would be 1.4 pec and 100 more shots would be 1.4 ped ? If that is correct then I think I understand.

Nope;

0.14PEC X 100 = 14PEC.


1000 shots with that decay would be 1.4PED.

I see now, I had the first part right as 10 would be 1.4 pec and off on the other 1000.
