Well, nobody to blame but me. Found someone who had higher general stats than myself, selling skills. the good old gsi+tool one. I knew walking into it that it might be a scam, but figured I would give it a go. I was right. Funny, and totally my fault. The only reasons for this post are 1. To tell people never to trust anyone that they do not know. 2. To shame myself for acting like a dumbass.

Luckily I'm too paranoid of everyone to ever do purchases like that lol. :rolleyes:

But yeah sorry to see a chip and chip implanter go to waste like that on a scam. :(

I did, thats why I called myself a dumbass. Funny though, and now it gives me something to do in twin, other than kill people...or die.. this morning I died more in 5 minutes than I have in 5 weeks. Ty for the bubble burster, snighty :)(he killed me in the ring like 6x in a row). My ego was pretty big there for a while.
 
Funny thing.. The avi in question was a freelancer at the time of the deal, then 5 minutes later, was a division manager in a soc.. it is an established soc, and I have to wonder if there were soc mates that were aware of the scam. I am now looking for "Frank JJ The Greatest".. this is the leader of the said soc, and I would like to know if he was aware of the ordeal. If anyone knows this individual, please let me know.

It MUST have been some self-destructive twitch Teilk! Just a test, willing to invest 100 ped or so to see with your own eyes if such scum really exists!

It made me violently ill (onto the desk of my colleague, thankfully).

You're not alone Teilk. Somehow I must say that if you haven't been scammed in EU, you haven't played long enough. Sorry, but somehow it's a litte bith of trough in that.
We all loose common sense and normal precautions at times.

i think i have seen this person at twins, seemed very noob in a way, like saying something about putting an order or skillchip :confused:
 
Hate to be the one to point it out but it's probably a dude IRL and they used a female avatar because guys wanna trusts chicks more for some unknown mental reason. :wise:

Still a cheap lesson, at least it wasn't anything you can't just go and loot. ;)

I don't say this often. I am always trying to be polite but after the way you treated me on CND when you don't even know me. Good enough for you, throw out bad karma and get it back.

I see how old it is, but still have to say....your response to being scammed is about the best representation of being scammed there is. Takes a special caliber of person to stand up and admit that. Sucks it happened but nice change to see someone not yelling at the world for what he knows was an error in judgment.

From the little chats weve had, you seem to be a good guy tielk, and more respect only follows from seeing this thread. :D

Oh and anytime you want to relive the excitement of giving an esi to someone for nothing in return....im here for ya. :)

I know its an old thread but i want too make some things clear. In that time i was the leader of the soc and i dont think we were aware of her scamming then. We found out she was a scammer and kicked her and her uncle. She had a niece playing aswel she said but we think they were all 1 and the same person. About 3 months ago some guy walked up too me and said he was the brother of Cosmina and that someone in the soc owed her some peds and that he wanted it. So think the scamming started again with another avatar. Sad thing is i dont remember his name.

Iam not longer in that soc anymore, not because it is/was a bad soc but i stopped playing for a few months and gave my friend with that i started the soc with the leadership. After i started playing again i thought it was time too join another soc too meet new people. My old soc is still a good soc and i trust the leader that he kicks people out of it if they scam.
